(POST 5X13)

It was so different to be together, to know that the salvation of their people depended solely and exclusively on them and on no one else.

They stood hand in hand looking into the ship's porthole at the wonderful spatial image that appeared before them; nevertheless they thought that if they got there it was only because they had fought together.

"Bellamy, what do we do now?" Clarke asked in a faint voice, knowing she had to show herself stronger.

"I don't know, but we'll find out together," he replied confidently, trying to convey that sense of peace he felt.

That simple touch, the sparkle in the eyes, a warm smile and reassuring phrases was enough to go back and remember who they were and what they could become.

They should have talked, but they both chose the easy way out and left, setting up an appointment the next morning.

*********

Clarke entered the cabin, being careful not to wake Madi, then threw herself on the bed and hoped to collapse, but his mind had another idea.

She began to remember old events, moments she had shared with Bellamy, emotions that only he had been able to give her struggling against herself not to admit the truth.

"Why does it have to be so complicated" she whispered aloud, but more than anyone to herself, running a hand through her hair and closing her eyes, hoping sleep would come soon.

Not far from her Bellamy was also struggling to fall asleep, he had only had to get into bed to hear her heart leap, remember and not forget.

He was really tired, that last race against time had deprived him of all energy, unlike his mind which seemed more than functional.

He closed his eyes and forced himself to relax.

"It's not possible," he admitted whipped, getting out of bed and pacing back and forth.

That little diatribe seemed to calm him down, he stayed a while longer walking around the room, then walked back to the bed and threw himself into it.

"You have to forgive her," Madi said, looking at the stubborn man she had heard so much about.

"Now is not the time, Madi," Bellamy replied hastily, glancing at her and then returning to look at the lawn where her friends were supposed to arrive.

"Do you have any idea how much she cares about you?"

"Enough to leave me to die in an arena," he said harshly.

"That was a mistake. How many mistakes did you make to protect your little sister's smell? "

"He was different"

"Are you sure?"

"I shouldn't tell you, but when you were in the ship, she called you on the radio every day for six years," Madi confessed under the astonished gaze of Bellamy who continued to look at her like a fool.

No, she couldn't believe it.

As soon as she thought she knew Clarke she saw that things changed, that everything was reversed and, once again they were on two opposite and distant fronts.

"You didn't know, did you?" and, she didn't have time to finish those words that he turned back to look at her.

That memory hit him with ferocity, he immediately jumped up and stood up, remaining seated on the edge of the bed and with wide eyes. She couldn't believe she had forgotten him.

Clarke was still rolling over in bed hoping to fall asleep, but memories of her came back to haunt her. Defeated, he dressed and went out the door, but she just had time to turn the corner that she bumped into a figure that she, only after looking up at her, recognized her.

"Bellamy," she admitted in astonishment and shrill voice, more than she would have liked.

"Why do not you tell me?" he asked accusing her and reaching out a finger to highlight her context.

She looked at him, she really tried to understand but she was missing the meaning of that sentence.

"What ... what was I supposed to tell you?"

"That… that when we were in the drop ship you called me on the radio every day for six years," he said angrily under Clarke's shocked gaze.

"Who told you?", But the answer was also obvious, neither of them paused to what it really meant.

"Who cares?"

"Answer me Clarke," she asked almost pleadingly, but she couldn't do it, just as he would never admit it.

"It doesn't matter," she belittled, shifting that subject with a raise of her hand and rolling her eyes to the sky.

They looked like two children, but perhaps even they would behave more maturely.

Bellamy took her face in her hands, forced her to look at him and asked again and again why, she had to have an answer. No, he wouldn't have left without.

She was terribly stubborn, but on the other hand he was too.

Clarke kept her gaze fixed in his eyes, she succeeded, she was proud of it but when she read something else behind that curious expression, she changed radically.

"Because you were with Echo," she yelled as she whipped, pulling her face away from her and leaving without his stopping her.
