"That was risky! But I gained big time! This sigil might be incomplete but even so, still a strain on my soul. If it was even half complete, I wouldn't be able to remember it at all." As he was lamenting his circumstances, the smile at the corner of his mouth couldn't be hidden. 

He had initially planed to continue following the creature, but after obtaining the sigil, he changed his mind. Even through he was not some good person, he couldn't just escape alone. Somethings where usually hard to explain, and his main goal should be surviving long enough. He could already feel that the deadline might be approaching soon. Since that was the case, he didn't have to be so rushed into acting. The only thing he didn't know was the consequences of the dimension with corpses of those terrifying creatures opening.
