Capítulo 2: Chapter 2: Kiana, Now Comes the Paywall
Early summer.
The bright sunlight streamed into the classroom, and the shadows of spring were gradually fading away.
The warm breeze made the students feel drowsy, but Kiana, who had just opened her sleepy eyes, was suddenly wide awake.
That little auntie, who always acted mature despite being so small, was actually dancing in the classroom? On top of the desks?
This was more ridiculous than a Herrscher fighting for humanity—why was this happening in front of me?
Was I still dreaming?
"Ouch!"
Kiana pinched her arm hard.
No, something's not right...
Kiana looked around the classroom in confusion. What was going on? Why was everyone acting as if they hadn't seen anything?
The lieutenant at the podium continued to lecture about things she couldn't understand, and the students were attentively watching the blackboard, occasionally looking down to take notes.
Everyone seemed to be in class as usual, as if nothing had happened.

"Auntie?"
Kiana called out in a low voice, but Theresa ignored her.
That mechanical dance made Kiana instinctively feel a sense of fear.
She turned her head, seeking comfort from Mei.
"Mei, what's going on? Mei?"
There was no exchange of expectant glances, and just like everyone else ignoring Auntie, Mei also ignored Kiana.
Bang!
Kiana slammed her hands on the desk and stood up abruptly.
"Mei, Mei!"
No matter how loudly Kiana shouted, Mei didn't respond, as if Kiana was just air.
Normally, if she made such a commotion in class, the lieutenant teacher would have already thrown a piece of chalk at her, but today, she didn't even look.
"Bronya?"
No response.
Kiana was starting to panic.
"Alright, you little one, playing games in class again! Teacher, Bronya is gaming again!"
No response.
"Class monitor, you're not playing along with them, are you?"
No response.
"..."
Kiana's face turned pale as everyone ignored her existence.
If this was a prank, it was going too far.
"Hey, stop messing with me."
"This is bullying."
"If you keep this up, I'm going to get mad!"
Kiana felt like a ghost, wandering around the classroom.
"Hmph! If you won't talk to me, then I won't talk to you either! I'm leaving!"
Kiana stormed out of the classroom, sprinting downstairs with her twin braids swinging in the air.
"Really, even Mei is teasing me..."
Kiana angrily kicked a small stone on the ground.
Even though she felt a bit out of place, she didn't think too much about it.
"Hmph, just because I fell asleep in class, you're all taking it too far. I'm going to hide in a place where none of you can find me, let's see how worried you'll get!"
When she reached the school gate, Kiana finally snapped.
She walked in a straight line out the school gate, but as soon as she stepped forward, she found herself back inside the gate, facing the familiar religious-style school building.
"Wha—what's going on?"
Unwilling to give up, Kiana tried to step out of the campus again, only to find herself stepping back inside, with the words "This area will be explored later" floating in front of her.
"?"
So, Kiana placed one foot outside the gate and kept the other foot inside, as if she was straddling the boundary line.
She looked ahead and saw the school's greenery path and the religiously-themed school building standing under the blue sky.
Then, she turned to look back and was shocked to see the same scenery!
When she withdrew her foot and stepped back inside the gate, the view outside returned to its original state, with a café across the street and the tram platform leading indoors not far away.
What shocked Kiana even more was that two students walked past her, left the school gate, and headed towards the café, chatting and laughing.
"Huh? Wait, wait!"
Just like before, there was no response.
Kiana reached out and tried to chase after them, but as soon as she stepped out of the gate, it was like a mirror image reversed, and she was back inside.
She lost her balance and fell to the ground.
"Wha—what's going on here?"
Kiana scrambled to her feet, unable to hide the fear on her face.
Earlier, she could still force herself to ignore the sense of unease, thinking it was just everyone playing a prank on her.

Kiana swung her fists as if trying to shatter all her fears.
"No matter what kind of monsters or demons you are, this lady can handle all of you... Ugh!"
"Hi there."
At that moment, a strange yet gentle voice called out.
"Who?"
Who else could it be but Ye Feng?
While playing a shooting game with Big Duck in the office, Ye Feng had noticed Kiana downstairs.
Her behavior, moving outside the "track," and her lively expressions instantly caught Ye Feng's attention.
Ye Feng immediately put on his clothes and followed Kiana, observing her every move. Her actions seemed almost as if she had "crossed over" as well.
This is... fantastic.
At this moment, Kiana followed the voice and saw a young man walking toward her with a sunny disposition.
His gaze, carrying an indescribable meaning, fell on Kiana.
This was also the first time since Kiana had awakened that she had made eye contact with someone.
Although she didn't burst into tears, she did feel a little relieved.
"A new day begins with a wonderful encounter."
"Who are you?"
"My name is Ye Feng."
"Ye Feng?"

Ye Feng smiled. "You agreed so quickly? Then show me your **** first."
"Huh?"
Kiana froze, her brain not fully processing what he meant.
"I gave up my time playing shooting games with Bronya to answer your questions, and you can't even meet this small request?"
"I get it. You want to taste my fists!"
Kiana clenched her fist and aimed a punch at Ye Feng.
"For someone like you, take this—eh?"
Before Kiana's fist could land on Ye Feng,
"Non-attackable," "Absolute Defense," "Invincible" ... flashed across her vision.
