2.46% World Hopping-Easy Mode / Chapter 1: A New Begining

Capítulo 1: A New Begining

I am rewriting this one, and this time it won't feature an overly powerful main character. In my first attempt, I made him too powerful, which resulted in... well, never mind. Just read this new version; it is better and more beautiful than before.

***

As I began to fall, from God knows which floor, I couldn't help but think about the things I had planned to do.

I had just graduated and secured a very, and I mean very high-paying job—high enough to take my whole family on a world tour with just a month's work.

If you're curious, I'm just a modest trader in the stock market.

But what's the use now? It's not like I'm going to need it in the afterlife.

"Well, at least I was filial enough to name all my money in my parents' names. Hopefully, they will be able to live happily from now on," I mumbled to myself, despite knowing there's no way they would be able to live happily, especially after losing their only child.

My father may be proud of me, but my mother... "I don't even want to imagine it," I thought depressingly as the ground inched closer and closer.

The terrorist had long been dead after attempting a suicide bombing. Now that I think of it, I got slightly injured because of that.

Half of his body is charred due to earlier explosion.

As the ground approached rapidly, I mumbled to myself, "Forgive this foolish child of yours, Mother."

Thud!

That day, the world lost a terrorist and gained a hero.

'Slimy,' I thought as I tried to move my hands. I felt like I was bundled in a vessel full of slimy liquid.

Oddly enough, I wasn't choking. I could feel myself breathing. 'Where am I breathing from?' I wondered.

I felt something in front of me. 'Huh! It feels like a human head, and it is slipping downwards!' At that moment, a terrible thought came to mind.

'Has science advanced enough to save someone even after they fall from the 300th floor?' I thought, and then relaxed.

'Well, anyways, I am alive; that's all that matters,' I thought and began to ponder just how long it would have taken to heal me back.

'Even the minimum time I could think of is 10 years, as probably every single bone in my body would have been broken.' I sighed, thinking I lost 10 precious years of my life.

'Just imagining how much money I could have made in those years...' I couldn't help but sigh.

'Hmm, whoever it was, they're gone. Next is my turn probably.' I waited patiently while trying to open my eyes, which felt as difficult as lifting 100 kg as a beginner.

'Be patient, man,' I thought and then let go of my body. I felt my surroundings shifting as they began to push me too.

'Finally, my turn,' I thought and then tried to move. After some time...

'I found myself in the hands of what seemed like a giant woman.' Looking at her and the surroundings, a single thought formed in my little brain: 'Well, duh, who survives a 300-floor jump?'

' Hmm, it seems I have been reincarnated as a baby' I mumbled to myself and tried to look around which was very difficult as my head felt as heavy as mountain, probably due to my under developed neck muscles.

' It seems like I was born into a poor family' I thought, as there is no light source just Candles like sticks illuminating the room.

The walls looked like made up of wood, ' Well, at least there is a home'

' hmm, the crying middle aged man if probably the father, while those kids are probably my elder siblings,... Now that I think of it, the earlier head or the earlier guy with me, who was born first, means we ae twins' I thought as I began to ponder what should I do now.

*******

A few minutes ago, after the midwife took out one baby boy from the pregnant mother's womb, she waited for the natural reaction before she began to pull out the other one.

Taking him in her embrace, she looked at him curiously and felt weird.

'Her firstborn also didn't cry, and now this guy isn't crying too,' she thought as she looked at the baby in her arms who was gazing back at her.

'Well, whatever,' she thought, and then she twirled her fingers in different motions and then spoke a single word, "Ekidu."

Which I obviously didn't understand apart from the sound she made.

But then my eyes bulged out of their sockets as I saw a light ball forming on her fingertip and then going inside me and out.

Seeing this, I thought of the very first and probably the last novel I ever read to pass time during my trading days: Supreme Magus. This felt exactly like that scene.

I did the most obvious thing I could, which was to awaken myself.

Awakening here simply meant unlocking my mana core fully. Usually, people have mana cores, but they don't unlock them and just forcibly use mana, which results in complex hand signs and tedious time to even cast spells. But after awakening, you can just will it and voila, magic.

'Fortunately, I remember, or I might have missed my golden time to awaken,' I thought as I began to use a specific breathing pattern from yoga. I breathed in, held it, allowed the breath to settle, and then repeated.

The breathing was deep and rhythmic, a method I had learned while learning Yoga, Yoga is a very good exercise to relive tension of the whole body. I imagined a flow of energy with each breath, visualizing it pooling within my chest. I focused on my breathing, each inhale drawing in more energy, each exhale releasing the tension from my body.

After about five to six cycles of this deep breathing, I began to feel motes of light around me. I could see them, like tiny stars in the darkness, moving towards me. They gathered in the center of my body, precisely at my chest.

Suddenly, a surge of energy erupted from my core. It was as if a dam had burst, releasing a torrent of pure, raw power. The mana flowed through my veins, washing over every part of my body. I felt it mending my broken bones, healing my wounds, and invigorating every cell.

The sensation was overwhelming, like being reborn in a wave of warmth and light. My body glowed, the light radiating from my chest, spreading outwards until I was enveloped in a cocoon of brilliance.

I felt my senses heighten, my mind clearing. I could feel the pulse of magic within me, a steady rhythm that matched the beating of my heart. I had become one with the mana, a living vessel of immense power.

'I am awakened,' I thought, a triumphant grin spreading across my face. 'I am reborn. Ahahahaha!'

"Now I am also a True Mage," I thought. After all, those who are not awakened are called Pseudo Mages or False Mages. "Though the awakened community is hidden."

I thought, and then my eyes started feeling heavy. "I guess exhaustion took over me."

And then I fell into slumber.

Nana, the midwife, looked at the sleeping cute bundle in her hands and then looked at the mother, Elena. "It seems this one is blessed by Mana."

"After he is intelligent enough to learn, you can send him to me," she said while passing him to his mother.

Elena lovingly took him, adjusted both of her sons, and began to feed them.

Their father was on cloud nine now. Hearing Nana say that both of his sons were born healthy and that one of them had already been accepted as an apprentice by a mage, he couldn't be happier.

Nana, on the other hand, looked at the sleeping kids. She thought back to the time when both of them were born. "Both of them are special, but the second one is even more so, especially with his rainbow-colored eyes."

Unknown to Jake or any of his family members, when Jake awakened himself successfully, his eyes changed color. Now his eyes are beautiful jewels of seven colors.

Lith the twin brother as well as the protagonist of this world looked at his twin brother, he eyed him curiously then he also fell asleep while drinking Milk.
