Capítulo 28: Global Event, Tai Cheng and Diao Meng
"System how long till enhancements ends?"
"Host the enhancement will end within 5 hours"
"How long will the rain last?"
"Host the rain will last for 3 hours"
"How long till this hole gets flooded?"
"Host the hole will be flooded within 2 hours"
"So basically I'm DEAD!"
Lizzy looked at the silver box again and a pain in her heart occurred, she was not one to spend cash and items one by one if there was a possibility of making it better, she went and looked at the puddle then the chest, she decided to wait if she could move after an hour or so.
Village HQ.
A large group of mosquito's were flying towards the building the hunters were in, the roaches still retreating from the building and the village.
"Are they gone?" Kim.
"Not yet, I can still hear them skittering outside the halls" Eric.
"From what I can see we might be stuck here forever!" Jonathan.
"I can try and contact the ships coming to the island 3-4 days from now" William.
"Ships?" Ren.
"Yes according to the files in this laptop there are ships coming to the island, ordered from each nation" William.
"Then we will hold out till rescue arrives" Byron.
As they talked there was a sound of glass breaking, they all looked at the window and a finger sized needle was poking through it, it was then followed by more of such needles, they observed more and found it was mosquito's, giant mosquito's.
Upon seeing this the men went and grabbed a large cabinet, they blocked the window and was preparing to open the door to run away, they could shoot animals but they can't shoot the mosquito's they were fast even when they were big.
This giant creatures event wasn't just happening on the island, the world was also suffering the same event, it didn't wait till Lizzy was stronger.
Panda Kingdom.
The roads broke apart as numerous giant rats rushed out and attacked the civilians, mosquito's the same as the island were embedding their needle like noses in the heads of many humans and sucked their brains out.
Centipedes of varying sizes were crawling out in farm areas and the farmers couldn't fight back, they can only be eaten and slaughtered.
The military were dispatched and they attacked the creatures, they were able to push back the creatures and go forward, they had a large amount of losses though, the same events were happening all over the world.
Island, Village HQ.
The hunters huddled up in the bathroom, William was typing away on the laptop and surfing the internet, there he found out the events happening all over the world and was surprised by it all.
"Guys it seems the world is ending" William.
They all looked at William and got beside him, William played a live news broadcast, the islands internet connection was quite strong.
"Live from the bald eagle empire, I am July ann, from inside the building we can see that the streets are being attacked by rats and mosquito's and further up there are roaches passing through the door and window cracks" Reporter.
Noises of gunshots resounded on the streets and bullets came flying at the creatures, they were getting filled with holes as armed military men and women were orderly fighting back, as they went deeper sacrifices were inevitable.
"The military personnel are currently successful but no one knows for how long, oh were connected?, folks here we have on call is a scientist from the local research facility, morning sir can you please elaborate what these creatures are?" Reporter.
"Morning, I believe these creatures are mutated creatures caused by the factory residues and chemical pollution, apart from that I have a theory that there are other dimensions and these are invaders from another dimension" Scientist.
"Do you really believe these are interdimensional invaders?" Reporter.
"Yes I believe so and all of these events follow the theory that I published but no one believed in me!" Scientist.
The call was cut and the live news stream was ended due to the crew and reporter suddenly getting mauled by giant rats.
Panda Kingdom.
Tai Chen and Diao meng were running down the streets and luckily met up with the military forces in the area, the citizens were being evacuated all over the world but countries with high population count suffered the most, about a quarter of each population was eaten by the giant creatures.
Tai Cheng and Diao meng were hugging in a military vehicle warming each other as they were brought to a defensively enhanced facility, there was a wall around this facility that spanned a hundred meters up and even below the wall was filled in, information on how deep they filled was withheld by the government.
