(A/N: A lot of things will be left unsaid, the intelligence of a Astartes and therefore of a Primarch is astounding. Also it's just an Idea for now I'll probably rewrite it.)
A rustling of needles and shifting of snow put me on alert. From behind me and my left came Freki and Geri. My two childhood friends. Both are as tall as me at the shoulder. There are bigger subspecies that can be ridden, Thunder Wolves, but feeding and cleaning up after the oversized mutts is a pain in the ass. Freki and Geri are hybrids, I think? Or just under fed when young. Why do you think we send most of them off world? There is only so much shit Fenris can handle. Also because, we don't want the Inquisitors to stir up shit.
My failure to kill Magnus and Horus and save Father, led me to find a new way to protect the Imperium. I must atone, finding Manus would be a good start, I know the Sapphire King is a part of his soul, but how to I contain it? Moreover how in the Warp am I supposed to find the rest of the stubborn idiot?
Fabius Bile keeps making clones, good, each failed attempt is another soul shard gathered. Then the asswipe decides to give Fulgrim to Trazyn. A kitten now owns his soul, poor bastard. Honestly, this moron will die by his own hands. Or maybe I can send someone to learn how to make better Primaris Astartes from him.
I think it was father who guided Robute to use the Thunder Warrior template as a starting point.
What is wrong with humanity? We doom ourselves at every turn, Father could have prevented the entire Heresy, but had to go through with it due to the impending Tyranids. The Warp Gods are only there as long as the thoughts of mortals feed into the warp, that includes the Tyranids and the god forsaken Tau.
Note to self, guide Orks and Tyranids to the Tau, my sons, the Ultramarines, and Cypher can sort out the aftermath. I know it's you Lion, or at least a part of you, you insufferable bastard.
Note 2, clean out the Inquisition and the Ministorum, they're getting uppity again. Every 300 years, like clock work, might as well put it on a calendar.
...I need to get going, too much time in the Warp. Come to think of it, this world is tainted, not by the Warp specifically, more like a Warp construct. There are places where it is weak, in decline, fading. And places where it is constant or increasing. I can't be sure if the taint is in fact increasing, there is a barrier to my senses. I will have to look into that. For now, food shelter and water are the priority, can't have the Warp sustain me and my boys. Invites too much risk, especially to an untouched, relatively, world such as this.
Konrad would love this place, but he's finally resting peacefully. A stab with Gungnir, and he saw his truth. He rests, for now, healing his mind. Fabius will unwittingly create a body for him, but for now, let him heal. He chose death over betrayal, I'll have to keep an eye on him as well. Whittle down his corrupt legion while I'm at it.

The dirt road had old tracks, a few days old by the amount of snow covering or completely erasing sections of the tracks. The underlying mud or what looks to be horse droppings lead the way. The impression and depth of the tracks led me to believe they were going at a moderate pace. I should be able to catch up to them in a few hours if I run. What's the point, the speed at which they are going alludes to them going home. I'll just meet them at the destination. Will give us some time to hunt for food.
