EDWINA
I was on my way home, driving without trying to think about all the drama that had happened to me these past few days, when my phone rang.
Thinking it might be Harriet, I spared a glance to check who it was.
It wasn't my best friend at all.
It was the man that had been the cause of my pain for so long, that his mark was engraved in my soul.
Kieran.
An angry hiss escaped through my lips at the sight of his name, and I ignored the phone call as I continued to drive.
Kieran didn't stop calling.
The incessant buzzing of my phone pissed me off so much, that I had to pull off into a sideway.
Switching off the ignition, I grabbed my cell phone and picked up.
"What?!" I snapped.
Father and Juliette was right. I deserved better than Kieran.
I definitely deserved better than a man who would keep going on dates with me despite the fact that he had gotten his girlfriend pregnant.
