Capítulo 16: Chapter 16

Navile watched Neil's movements closely as he continued to counterattack and dodge. Even though he could withstand Neil's punches, Navile could not unleash the kind of power Neil expected. Navile only countered with physical strength.

"At this rate, you'll never beat me, Navile! How long are you going to rely on that weak punch?"

Navile could only smile bitterly and was forced to accept Neil's words. Neil's words were true after all, he was only relying on his physical strength which was still far below Neil's.

While continuing to counterattack as best he could, Navile tried to understand what Neil was saying. About activating photon art without using nanobots. "I wonder how, huh?" Navile racked his brain even harder. If Neil was really his enemy, he would have defeat long ago.

"Uncle is indeed the most troublesome opponent I've ever faced. It's a good thing he's on my side. Otherwise—"

Navile did not have time to continue his foolish thoughts when a light punch from Neil hit his right shoulder.

"Uwaaah!"

His thin body was pushed several meters away. He was forced to widen his stance to withstand the force of Neil's blow. Although it was considered a light blow, it could actually cause Navile a lot of trouble.

Before Navile could fix his posture, Neil resumed his attack. True to his word, he would not hold back. His attack didn't end at a light punch, Neil darted while making a stance as if he wanted to lunge at Navile with his right foot aimed forward. The pale green aura that had covered originally only e his two hands, now also covered his entire body as Neil attacked Navile.

With his posture slightly off-balance, Navile took a quick step. He crossed his arms in front of his chest to block Neil's attack. But Neil continued his attack by swinging with his left leg. Navile's body was blown away once again.

"You're not focused Navile, what are you thinking about?" Neil said as he walked leisurely. A greenish aura now covered Neil's entire body as if his fighting spirit was still on fire.

"It's nothing. I'm just curious about something."

"Forget it and focus on our fight. Don't think I'll hold back."

After saying that, Neil stomped his right foot on the floor to pump up the power, then darted lightning-fast towards Navile, proving that he wasn't messing around or just bluffing.

As Neil's distance from him narrowed, Navile tried even harder to activate his photon art without his nanobot Soul Boa. He sharpened his concentration and ignored Neil for a moment. Normally, he only needed to gather all the photon particles around him on the blade of the Soul Boa sword which was indeed a device for manipulating photon energy. If his estimation was correct, it meant that he only needed to think of himself as a replacement for the nanobot itself.

Navile took a deep breath while forming a sturdy fighting stance. With both hands he tried to attract the photon particles in the air to his own body, making his body a replacement for Soul Boa.

In his mind he always believed that if Neil could do it, he could do it too. With his confidence growing stronger, he stared intently at Neil already shortening their distance

Slowly Navile felt a powerful energy flow through and cover his fist, then spread to the rest of his body.

"It worked!" he exclaimed in a half-whispered voice.

Navile quickly positioned his hands in front of his body, then lowered his hips and set up a stance with his legs spread. In that position, Navile greeted Neil's attack boldly. He blocked Neil's light punch with his right hand, then turned his body to Neil's back and delivered a counter punch.

Unfortunately, Neil managed to dodge Navile's punch by bending down, as if there were eyes on his back that could see Navile's attack. His movements continued, not only dodging, Neil stomped his hands on the floor, swung his legs up while twisting his body, then turned around giving Navile a kick in the jaw.

Fortunately, Navile was not hit by the counterattack, as his years of training with Neil had made him very familiar with every move that seemed random yet very effective. He remembered Neil's every move, but even though he remembered and could counter. Neil always gave another counterattack that was no less surprising, as if he had eyes all over his body or his senses were so sharp that he could recognize every move of the enemy.

Navile was finally relieved to have managed to do what Neil wanted, which was to activate the photon art without nanobots. A faint smile graced his face that still bore the marks of sleep. Fighting spirit filled him. He was very confident that he could beat Neil in this training battle.

"It's a good start, Navile. But don't get too excited just yet. I'm going to show you something more interesting today."

After finishing his words, Neil approached Navile with a leisurely movement. The green aura covering his body felt even stronger. Slowly, the green aura concentrated on his right hand and formed a long sword.

Navile watched Neil's aura change with his mouth almost gaping open and eyes wide. He really did not think that Neil could do such a thing. Navile had originally thought that Neil was a knuckle or dagger-type nanobot user because of his bare-handed attacks. But in front of him at this moment, Neil turned the aura surrounding him into a sword.

At the same time, she felt ashamed of herself for boasting about her strength and title as a Returner—Veda's strongest private army. He had even compared himself to the captains of the Whistle Fleet. If Neil could do that, what about the rest of them? Surely those people were chosen as captains for no reason. And, the person in front of him right now had unexpected power. Even though Neil claimed he was just a pastry seller, but how could he unleash such great power without using nanobots.

What if Neil used nanobots? Would he be much stronger? Wait... Perhaps Neil used to be a member of the 12 Guard Councils of the Whistle Fleet? I don't know... It's possible that it's true. Come to think of it, how can an ordinary civilian have a private lab? That fact alone is suspicious. Neil must be an important person. But why did he never tell us anything? Not even Kana or Veda.

"What's wrong Navile?"

Neil's words just now pulled Navile back to the fact that he was dealing with someone unusual. It would be a shame if he thought he could defeat Neil with his current strength.

"If you don't want start, let me go first."

Without waiting for Navile's response, Neil hit the floor with his foot, darting at an insane speed. His movements were getting faster by the second. The change of aura into a sword made Neil's movements even more agile and unpredictable.

Neil lunged with his right hand which had sword of aura crossed to the left of his body. As the distance between the two narrowed, Neil swung his sword of aura from bottom left to top right in a swift motion. A trail of pale green light sliced through the air, making a buzzing sound as the slash of the sword of aura shot toward Navile.

"What the hell? Uncle can do something like that too?" he exclaimed as he dodged his body to the side to avoid Neil's attack. Then greeted his uncle who was already very close with clenched fists. However, the purplish aura that enveloped his body suddenly disappeared for a few seconds, then reappeared. "It's not perfect, huh?" he muttered.

However, the purplish aura that enveloped his body suddenly disappeared for a few seconds, then reappeared. "It's not perfect yet, huh?" he muttered.

Seeing Navile's slightly unsteady state, Neil smiled slightly and continued his attack. He really didn't want to miss the opportunity to swing his sword of aura back from the lower right to the upper left, then slashed horizontally and vertically, his attack ending after forming a formation in the air.

Realizing Neil's merciless attacks, Navile acted quickly, he couldn't get hit. Even though it was his first time seeing him, he could feel the immense power of Neil's consecutive attacks.

Navile twisted his body, then jumped high, avoiding the sword of aura slash formation. In his heart, he wondered, "Is this really just practice? Why is Uncle so serious, it feels like he really wants to kill me."
