It was a Thursday and some hope was in the horizon for my stagnant business. There were several enquiries and it was enough to make me feel good. Enquiries on how much a certain used or previously owned personal and household items cost meant some interest from buyers so it would soon follow purchases and orders. On the flip side, others came asking how much they would be getting from disposing a camera here, a Ray Ban sunglasses there, and other pre-owned personal gadgets. The coming weekend would necessitate cash on everyone’s hands, and to those who were desperately in need of it on a weekend personal items were the most fluid to change for cash. It was a cycle that I had known since I started the buy-and-sell business, and it would be a cycle to be repeated again and again.
