Vanessa waited for Nick to return but when she checked the time on her wristwatch, she was surprised to see that it has been more than fifteen minutes and he was yet to return. Earlier because he had to take a call, she stepped out of the line expecting him to return in mere two minutes but now it was different, the line has been refreshed two times and the couple who was in front of her was now on their second or maybe third turn to ride the Ferris wheel, and yet Nick wasn't here. 

A bad feeling rose in her heart as she clutched her purse did something happen in his family? No, if that was the case then he would have called her or much less texted her about it but he did nothing like that Nick wasn't the type who would leave his date behind without any explanation unless —— her eyes flashed as she walked out of the space that was allocated to the Ferris Wheel waiting line.
