"What the fuck you doing here?" Questioned Tobias as he sat down across the table with Vū, "Thought that minors weren't suppose to drink, huh?"
"That's a different case coming from you," he pointed his index finger at him, "I'm eleven-years-old, while you're six," he added, "and is about to turn seven next week."
It was currently midnight— Tobias had snuck out from his room, dare he call it to be: jell cell, and came inside an unregistered bar from the Konoha Economy. Coincidently, he also met Vū around the corner of the area having only bottles of sakes to accompany his presence.
"Plus, in the Clan and the Hokage recognize me as an adult — as someone who had already made his debut from the Konoha military and the outside world — whilst, you're still known as the younger brother of the Yamanaka Clan Head and is still not a Shinobi recognized by the higher-ups."
'Goodness gracious,' Tobias rolled his eyes, 'Might as well declare this guy as the reincarnation of Senju Tobirama for being obsessed with the law.'
"Aren't you grounded, for disrespecting your Clan Elder, until tomorrow?"
"Oh please, that old fool was delusional to think that the 'money' I 'earned' belonged to the Clan," he blew his lips, "besides, I was the one who created the ondol and earned this money."
"Well, you aren't certainly the one that built the orders of your clients."
Tobias scoffed, 'For someone who had their nose stuck on the law, he sure is clueless in the business world.' He thought.
"In the business world, there types of people. One, is the President."
"President?"
"The ones taking incharge of the decisions— ya'know, kinda like the Daimyō." He continued, "The second, are the... you know what? Nevermind."
"Why not?"
"You wouldn't understand as single thing,"
Vū scoffed, shaking his head in disapproval and rebuked, "You're just lazy."
"Glad you know it," he snided.
"Fuck you."
"Never thought to hear someone who values honor cussing."
"And also, give me that bottle of sake. Who knows what might the Patriarch do to you if you came home late and drunk," he tried to snatched the drink away from Tobias, but failed as he retracted his arms away.
"Oh please, this isn't sake!" Said Tobias.
"Well my nose beg to differ."
He scoffed, "You think a guy who created the ondol can't make a drink that smells and looks like sake?"
Silence occued between the two of them after Tobias' reasoning. The background music and the loud noise of the bar filled their ears.
Vū kept on staring at Tobias, as if he could read his very distinctive soul.
"Tobias-sama," Tobias merely bat an eye at him, "Where did you suddenly learn how to do all of these?"
"What these?"
"How did you came up with an advance heating system that we've never heard off? How were you able to summon a creature without having anyone giving you a summoning contract? From what I've heard about you, you were merely a spoiled brat that would whine whenever things didn't get in your way." He paused, "Are you really, Tobias?"
[Warning! Yamanaka Vū is starting to suspect your identity!]
'Shut it!'
Truth to be told, Tobias had already expected someone to suspect his identity but he never expected it to be Vū to be the first one to say it on his face.
Yes. The original Tobias was the kind of person. A horrendous spoiled brat, who have possess and entitlement mentality, a kind of person who thinks that everyone should be giving him whatever he wants. The original Tobias was that kind of a person.
"Do you judge people based on what's on the rumors? I was just a kid, and I have all the time to grow up."
"I—"
"And mind you I spent all of my mornings studying! Why can't I do that?!" Tobias taunted.
[Special Jutsu! Persistence!]
'Shut up! I don't have such thing!'
"Studying? But the Yamanaka library only consist of the Clan history, geometry, math, and agricultural."
"Do you observe me twenty-four seven? Huh?!" He pointed at him, "No! Right?
"The how do you explain the summoning? It is rare for Shinobi's to even have a summoning contract. The only ones I know who have a summoning contract are the 3 Legendary Sannins and the Sarutobi Clan."
"Then how about you?!" His mouth opened wide as possible, "How were you able to make four solid clones? Huh?! The Shadow Clone Jutsu is a forbidden jutsu as it takes a lot of chakra up! Then what about you?! How were you able to handle your chakra so well at your age! Huh?! That's because you're a genius!"
"N-no, I, I don't think I—"
"Oh please! If you're a genius, why can't a be one too!" At this point, Tobias sounded like he was whining, "So what if I suddenly became a genius constructor and a summoner?!"
"..." Vū stayed silent.
Tobias silently let out a sigh of relief as he took an another sip of his drink.
"What are you doing in an unregistered bar anyway?"
"Right," Vū clicked his tongue, finally remembering why he was in here in the first place, "Funny thing actually. The Hokage assigned me to destroy this illegal bar."
"Pfft—," he sniffled a laugh, "never thought that the Hokage see you as the type of person who gets drunk."
The shinobi rolled his eyes from the not-so-hidden laugh that the young boy tried to supress.
"Look who we got here!" A playful pitch voice sing-sang'd.
"Never thought I'd see the day where the brooding Yamanaka gets layed!"
"Ahh, shit." Vū uttered under his breath in dismay.
Tobias turned to the newcomers who came at their table. A boy and a girl, approximately one or two years older than him, with the former who has a mischievous glint glowing on her black-eyes while former having a delightful grin, plastered on his face.
"Who are they?"
"Why ask Vū when you can just ask us instead?" The boy said, his hands waving around the air making gestures, "Hi! I'm Gushiken Akiro!" The boy, named Akiro, introduced himself, helding out a hand.
"Yamanaka Tobias," He took the hand as he turned next to the girl with a bob raven-black hair, "and you are?"
"Nora," she sat on the remaining seats, which was next to his side. But fortunately for Tobias, she kept a fair distance between the two of them.
"Oh, don't mind her, she's very shy when it comes to new people she doesn't know."
"Fuck you!" She said, throwing Akiro a middle finger, "Who the devil would be in a good mood when we basically have a fucking bounty on our head?"
"Bounty?" Tobias questioned.
"Ever since the we've been summoned by the higher-ups, the War Hawk has been keeping an eye on me, and that includes the people I work well with." Answered Vū.
"That's troublesome," Tobias remarked.
"Well spotted!" Nora's voice drips with sarcasm, "And do you know what's even more troublesome? The fact that you know about this now."
"Aww, don't be such a hot-headed, its not like Vū and I were the ones that spilled the tea."
"Shut up. And also, I was not in a good mood."
"Neither are we, Nora, Neither are we," Vū repeatedly said.
"So I take it that you guys are on a mission?"
"How'd you know?"
"Idiot. The fact that you said that already gave it away," Nora spat at Akiro.
"Ah, right, oh, fuck."
"By the way, how'd you guys know that you were being closely watched by the War Hawk?"
Akiro, was the one who answered this time, "Oh, nothing, ya'know, just a lovely day, on a mission, then a masked man with the kanji 'ROOT' carved on their mask suddenly came and attacked us but failed. Tried to kill herself after knowing she was no match for us, but Nora here thought so otherwise and ordered Vū to use your Clan's Hidden Jutsu against him..."
Nora leaned on the table, "Are you sure that it's safe to say what happened to this little guy?" Nora whispered on Vū's ears as he merely gave a nod and said.
"The guy may be a little shit but he's no joke."
"The fact that you say that is making me wonder how strong he is,"
"I don't know, but what I can say is that he's a genius."
"... Vū barely got into the ROOT Shinobi's head and recieved insufficient necessities information. And that's how we knew that the old guy is onto us."
"What happened to the ROOT Shinobi?"
"Foam started coming out from her mouth and eyes and before we knew it she died. Probably from a fuinjutsu seal that the War Hawk modified."
'I didn't expect Danzo to be interested on these three,' he thought, 'was it my transmigration that things are starting to change?' he mentally sighed, 'Changing the plot of a story will be troublesome and confusing,'
"So what are you guys planning to do now?"
"Oh nothing much," Nora replied as a scowl morphed on her face, "we'll just have to wait and see if the old guy attacks us again."
"And if he does?"
"I don't know about these two, but I'll be plotting a secret coup against him."
"Well I like the sound of that!" Akiro exclaimed with a grin, "Besides, can't have our killer be left unscathed after trying to kill us."
"I'm in as well," three heads turned towards Vū in shock, "What?" He rolled his eyes, "I agree with what Akiro said."
"What about you?"
"Hmm? What about me?"
"You heard what we'll be doing against that guy. And also, we can't risk having you chattering you mouth."
Tobias made a sound, exaggeratedly offended, "Oh please, that guy is troublesome I can tell you," Nora nodded her head in agreement, "But! If I'm gonna be joining your little group we'll be doing it my way."
"I don't know about that, but we'll just have to wait and see."
As much as Tobias wanted to eradicate Danzō's existence as soon as possible, he also thinks that it'd be best to wait for the worse possible outcome that may or may not come onto their lives and use it — efficiently — as an excuse when the time comes.
