11.76% Warlord's Ascent: The Orc chief / Chapter 1: Prologue[Reworked]

Capítulo 1: Prologue[Reworked]

In a dimly lit room, a young man sprawled across his bed, eyes glued to his phone, his voice erupting in frustration.

"You absolute morons! What are you doing, you brainless twits? Are you blind or just plain stupid?"

No, he wasn't yelling at anyone in particular—just at the unfortunate virtual soldiers in his favorite strategy game, where he commanded armies and issued orders like a general. But his forces? Well, they weren't exactly following orders.

"Why in the world are you attacking the storage when the defenses are literally right there? Are you allergic to doing your job properly, or what?"

Exasperated, Liam powered down his device, deciding he'd had enough for the night.

Liam, a freshly graduated high schooler, now had all the free time in the world. An average teenager by most accounts, except for one thing: he was an orphan. Standing at 5'8", with white hair that always seemed to attract attention and hazel eyes that held a strange intensity, he was just beginning to face the world on his own.

But as Liam tossed his phone aside, something strange was beginning to unfold across the globe. Unbeknownst to him, this was no ordinary night.

Just as his head hit the pillow, a familiar ding sounded from his phone. He picked it up, his brows knitting in confusion.

On the screen appeared a long, unfamiliar text—one that resembled a questionnaire, the kind of tedious thing you'd see in exams.

"Oh, fantastic," Liam muttered. "Looks like my phone's been hacked. Just my luck. And I only bought this cursed thing a week ago!"

Curiosity, however, got the better of him. He scrolled through the questions, half-amused, half-annoyed.

1. Do you prefer strength, speed, or intellect?

2. How do you feel about direct confrontation and battle?

3. What is most important to you in a community: loyalty, strength, or wisdom?

4. Do you believe in a strict code of honor and tradition?

5. Are you interested in combat and warfare, or crafting and forging, or research and study?

6. What kind of weapons or armor do you find appealing?

Liam smirked, shaking his head. "Well, might as well humor this nonsense," he thought, and began filling out the questions.

Moments later, after submitting his answers, the screen shifted. A new message appeared, written in bold letters:

'Congratulations! You have successfully answered all the questions and have been chosen for the transfer. The transfer will begin in 5... 4... 3...'

"What in the blazes?" Liam stared at his phone in disbelief. Before he could fully grasp what was happening, everything went black. His consciousness slipped away like sand through fingers.

When he awoke, he found himself lying face-up under a scorching sun. The endless expanse of sand stretched in every direction. A desert?

"Is this some kind of elaborate joke?" Liam muttered, rubbing his eyes. One minute he was cursing his troops, and now this?

Before he could gather his wits, a robotic voice echoed in his head.

[Transfer complete]

[Shield activated]

[Please choose a god to receive a blessing from]

[Please open inventory and use the Beginner's Pack]

[Status initializing]... Complete.

"Gods? Blessings? Is this…?" Liam's eyes widened. "Hold on, is this one of those isekai things? But where's Truck-kun? Isn't there supposed to be a truck involved?!"

Liam looked around, bewildered, before a series of divine titles flashed before him:

[God of War and Conquest] [God of Brutality and Combat] [God of Destruction and Chaos] [God of Strength and Endurance] [God of Blood and Vitality]

"Great," Liam sighed, "from games to gods. Fine, let's play along." He skimmed the options and, after a moment's thought, chose the God of War and Conquest.

[Congratulations! You have received the blessing of the God of War and Conquest. A skill has been granted.]

"Status?" he murmured. Immediately, a blue screen materialized before him, listing his details like a page from a game.

[Name: Liam]

[Race: Human/Orc]

[Job: Orc Lord]

[Affiliated Race: Orcs]

[Class: Unassigned]

[Level: 1]

[Constitution: 23]

[Dexterity: 15]

[Intelligence: 42]

[Charisma: 43]

Skills: [Warlord's Presence (Tier 1): Exudes an aura of fear and reverence among both enemies and allies.]

Liam blinked. "Wait, did it just say… Orc Lord?" He scrolled through his stats again, his confusion deepening. "Orcs, huh? Well, this just keeps getting better."

While still trying to process what had happened, he accessed his inventory. "Alright, what does the 'Beginner's Pack' hold for me?"

[Congratulations! You've received the following:]

[1. Basic Guide (Automatic integration initializing)]

[2. Warlord's Axe: A weapon forged for the lord of orc tribes]

[3. Map fragment – Reveals a nearby location suitable for settlement]

[4. Basic rations]

[5. Mid-grade healing potion]

Without warning, a sharp pain shot through his head. The Basic Guide was being integrated into his brain, flooding his mind with overwhelming information. It felt as though his skull was being cracked open to make room for the knowledge of an entire world.

When the pain finally subsided, Liam took a deep breath, now armed with the knowledge of building settlements, conquering enemies, and surviving in this harsh new world. It was survival of the fittest, and he was expected to rise.

Liam's eyes drifted to the Warlord's Axe, still glowing in his inventory.

[Warlord's Axe: A relic from a mighty orc tribe that once dominated half the continent.]

[Quality: Exclusive Grade]

[Active Skill: Frenzy (Tier 1): Grows stronger with the wielder.]

[Passive Skill: Warlord's Command: Enhances loyalty and command skills.]

Impressed, he closed the screen, turning his attention to his next move.

For three days, he had a protective shield that rendered him immune to harm. This would allow him to wander the treacherous wasteland without fear, but time was ticking.

"Best find this 'suitable place' before the shield runs out," he muttered.

He stretched and caught his reflection in the gleaming edge of the Warlord's Axe. His scrawny figure was nowhere to be found.

His muscles bulged under his newly transformed frame, standing at least a foot taller than before, with strange tattoos etched across his chest.

"Guess the whole 'Orc Lord' thing wasn't just for show."

Emboldened by his new strength, Liam looked at the map fragment and set off for the oasis it revealed.

Whatever this world had in store for him, he'd face it head-on. There would be no retreat—only war, conquest, and victory.

After all, when the gods themselves offer their blessings, you'd best live up to them.
