Sasuke turned his head upon hearing the familiar voice of Iruka-sensei, who had just entered the room with a serious expression. Iruka, as always, carried an air of responsibility and care for his students. He held a clipboard with the list of the teams that would be formed that day. The atmosphere in the room was tense, and everyone was anxiously waiting to find out who they would be assigned to.
"Good morning, everyone!" Iruka began as the murmurs in the room died down. "Today is the day you'll be assigned to your teams. From now on, you are officially genin. You'll work together, train together, and rely on each other."
Sasuke's eyes remained focused on Iruka, but internally he reflected on how irrelevant this moment was to him. After all, his focus was far beyond simple team formations. His ultimate goal was clear and direct: power.
Iruka continued, reading the team names with calm and precision.
"Team 7: Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and Uchiha Sasuke."
Sasuke heard his assignment without surprise, but Naruto immediately stood up, visibly upset.
"Why do I have to be on the same team as him?!" Naruto protested, pointing directly at Sasuke.
Iruka sighed and explained patiently, "Sasuke had the highest grades at the academy, and you, Naruto, the lowest. We put the best and worst student together to balance the team."
Naruto, still visibly displeased, crossed his arms and returned to his seat. Sasuke merely kept his indifferent expression, thinking that the imbalance in skills within the team would be obvious.
Iruka then continued, "Team 8: Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame."
As the names were called, Sasuke noticed Sakura, who was beside him, teasing Ino with victory gestures. The rivalry between the two continued to be fierce, even after years.
"Team 10: Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi."
Ino let out a sigh, perhaps disappointed, but she knew she always ended up with the two friends, just like their parents before them.
"After lunch, your jonin instructors will come to get you. You're dismissed for now," Iruka announced, concluding the meeting.
As soon as the dismissal was given, Sasuke got up and quickly left the room, wanting to avoid any unnecessary conversation. However, as he walked through the halls, he noticed Naruto following closely behind him. They arrived at an alley, an isolated place near the academy, where Sasuke decided to confront the blonde.
"Why are you following me, Naruto?" Sasuke asked, not turning his head, his voice maintaining its usual cold tone.
Naruto, with his usual defiant grin, replied, "Haha, I learned a new jutsu, and I think I can finally beat you!"
Sasuke raised an eyebrow, slightly intrigued. He knew Naruto had repeatedly failed the academy exams, but his fighting spirit was undeniable. If Naruto had really learned a new jutsu, it might be interesting to see it in action. But Sasuke already had a good idea of what it would be: most likely the Shadow Clone Jutsu.
"Let's see what you've got, then," Sasuke said with a slight smile at the corner of his mouth, activating his Sharingan, ready to copy the jutsu.
Naruto, full of confidence, performed the hand signs and shouted, "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"
In an instant, several clones of Naruto appeared around him. Sasuke remained calm, his red Sharingan eyes analyzing every movement to replicate the technique. However, what happened next was something Sasuke didn't expect.
"Wait, Sasuke! I'm not done yet! Watch my real power!" Naruto exclaimed, as he made another hand sign.
Suddenly, Naruto's clones transformed into multiple female versions of himself, all dressed suggestively and surrounded by clouds of smoke. The Harem Jutsu was in full display, and Sasuke, caught off guard, was completely still. His Sharingan eyes captured every detail of the scene, but he didn't know how to react.
The "Naruko" females began to surround him, laughing and throwing seductive glances at the young Uchiha, who for the first time found himself completely bewildered. The intensity of his concentration momentarily broke, and he struggled to maintain his composure.
"What... what the hell is this?" Sasuke thought, trying to process the situation as his body froze, unable to act with his usual calm.
Naruto's female clones started closing in on Sasuke, throwing themselves on him. Despite his Sharingan analyzing every detail with precision, Sasuke couldn't escape the ambush that was becoming increasingly absurd. What he didn't know was that behind the chaos, Naruto was preparing for the final blow.
Suddenly, Sasuke felt something binding his feet to the ground. Naruto had taken advantage of the distraction caused by his unusual jutsu and, with speed, used ropes to tie Sasuke to the floor.
"Hahaha! I got you!" Naruto shouted triumphantly, as all the clones disappeared and he stood before an immobilized Sasuke.
Sasuke, still processing what had just happened, looked at Naruto with a mix of disbelief and frustration. He had underestimated the blonde, and this was a lesson he wouldn't forget anytime soon.
"That was... pathetic, Naruto," Sasuke said, as the Sharingan in his eyes spun, carefully observing every move of the boy in front of him. "But it was a good move."
Naruto let out a loud, exaggerated laugh, clearly pleased with his temporary victory.
"I told you I'd beat you, Sasuke! Just wait, next time it'll be even more epic!" Naruto responded.
Sasuke slowly stood up, his face returning to its usual impassive expression. Internally, he knew he had learned a lesson at that moment. Not about fighting techniques, but about underestimating his opponents. Naruto, as foolish as he was, had even defeated Kaguya with this technique.
"Next time, dobe, it won't be so easy," Sasuke said, with a small smile on his face.
