Fireball? Chain Lightning? Frost Mirror… Wait just a minute; I’ve come to practice kung fu! Spells have nothing to do with me! What’s that? I’m a Mage? Oh, right! I am a Mage indeed. But… Are you certain I’m one? Alright… Feel the might of my saber! My sword! My hidden weapons! What? You’re saying I’m no Mage now? Let me prove it to you if you don’t believe me! But even if you believe me, I will still show you just how unstoppable a Mage who knows kung fu can be!

Escreva uma avaliaçãoAll the characters are extremely bland, except perhaps the MC's mercenary group having at least 2D characteristics. All the female players are insufferable and friendly with eachother. The MC is everyone else's *****, he does everything for them under the guise of him being a "good person". The only time he got pissed off was because some retarded woman from his guild almost lost him tens of thousands of dollars worth of top-grade equipment that belonged to a friend of his, but he immediately cucked out and forgave her. The MC gets embarrassed by some priest that heals him at random times and everyone calls that "teasing", I call that retarded. A bunch of women from his guild attack him out of nowhere sometimes yet he doesn't retaliate because the MC is a "good person". There's a point where he goes to another city and there's a woman married to the leader of a powerful guild, she f**ks with anyone who disrespects her and has her guildmates kill them and anyone from the same guild on sight then making them lose levels repeatedly, but then when he sees her again, he forgives her because "anyone would've done the same". Are you retarded ? Only the most psychotic would f**k this hard with people, he even tries to compare it to someone else helping him in a tavern by killing 5 guys whom he had just killed the friend of (because of a bounty collection mission). They were about to kill you ! It's not the same ! For some reason the MC hides that he's the guy who killed a dude he hated because it'd attract people challenging him, which I doubt, but he keeps doing it months later when everyone else lost interest. The game rules are unreliable at best. I can't describe how much I hate this novel. I hate every interaction between characters, there are some realistic ones here and there, but overall they suck and it gets worse the longer you read. Review was written by Parpaing from NU.
If you are going to only Skim this Review, then I'll tell you it is a ok story quality-wise, but it is a very fun story. Even though this is a story based around a mmorpg, the author did not think too deeply how mmorpgs work as a game and just used game elements to create story *******. Like how losing a level upon character death is used to create stakes and consequences for the players about to do a risky plays which is compounded as higher levels become very grind heavy. You can see how this would make fights more tense when the odds are against the heroes and death in a game substantial but not fatal. However, when viewed as a game, this mechanic is incredible harsh and not player friendly with how easy it is to die in this game. When you die, you lose the level, the stats that came with it, any skills that unlock on those levels and all proficiency with said skills, and maybe an equipment piece you had now free for anyone to take. These are very powerful reason to not die for a story character, but as a random player, this death penalty will kill alot of player interest. Now if you can ignore all of the game stuff as a possible game and just take those at face value, then you can focus on the best parts. The characters. Alot of main characters are quirky and memorable which leads to alot of fun interactions and situations. I could talk about them in more depth like with the game problems but that will ruin the fun. TL;DR: Story about a bad mmorpg with funny and enjoyable main characters.
Tsk tsk... It should've been the other book that was released. At least it was an orignal and a very interesting concept. Now this here, this is just something you can find somewhere else. It doesnt matter if it delays a week because the author will still upload it, but an original is much more entertaining. Now I have wasted a week of my life. Which is always by the way. Well, this book is somewhat okay, with its natural dose of cliches. Concept is common and story is somewhat confusing. Well I hope you do your best. How much words do I have to type until this bloody review can be posted? Oh d*mn. I haven't done the ratings yet. That's why I cant post. There... done! Well pleasure to meet you. Aufwiedersehen!
After reading though 30+ chapter, I think, I better drop this. The game element is truly dump. If someone really open a game like this, it will be closed in a week. It's just like fantasy world that has a game system. Crimes, gores, sexual contents (not happen yet, but a mentioned of allowance by the gamemakers), these happened secretly in the context of the story, and the government don't issue a ban yet. MC don't have anything but kung fu. Kung Fu maniac with out a specific character or goal. A casual and very noob player with an exploited cheat, called Kung Fu skills. The story can be more interesting, if his mage class has at lease a hint to do with a progress of the story aside from being mentioned as a hindrance or a handicap, he has against those with physically related class. Side characters? Aside from the female thief, who possibly be a female lead, there is no one that memorable at all up to this point.

Revelar SpoilerStarted binge reading this on Gravity Tales when I saw it in the running here when it suddenly got removed TT u TT. No worries though! Bingeing it was so easy because it's such a fun read! The cast of characters are funny and easy to distinguish from each other. The MC is an oblivious idiot sometimes yet still not a doormat, his expertise just lie elsewhere.
I find one of the most annoying, and also immersion breaking, parts of this book is how inside a video game they can somehow get drunk. And not only are they drunk, but real world tolerance affects how much they can drink. One character or another, without logging out, drinks inside the game, gets drunk, and him being drunk becomes a major plot point several times per arc.
I've read it, bevor it was here (and premium) and I don't like the MC. he is an arrogant idiot. the worst part is, he thinks other are stupid and not himself... the point, where I dropped the novel: MC kills a guild leader (again) Guild hunts him MC change clothes and now nobody can recognize him (o_O) MC goes to a guild member and tells him: "I killed your leader!" guild start hunting him again and MC is like: "omg how did they know?!?!" -_-
Revelar SpoilerShort review: It's like the morning coffee for me. Doesn't taste extraordinary but well enough to make me smile. Quite underrated in my opinion. It is a nice action, slice of life story which is quite humorous as well. There is a uniqueness in a story which I find admirable in the sea of repetitive novels around. Definitely worth a read. I don't understand why people hate the female characters in the novel. Xiaotian, July, Vast Lushness etc are entertaining characters with self worth and characters not built for being 'jade beauty' in mc's possession like 90% of CN novels.
I can't read anymore. As someone who is beginner(2years) in the martial arts world. Its highly unlikely for kung fu to be this powerful. I would have suspended my belief if it was cultivation but kung fu? Kung fu is ****! It isn't a martial art no more. Its just a stupid movement arts. Sure their flexible but any mma fighter/mui thai could literally kill this guy. Kung fu its useless maybe 500 years ago it was used but now? All the original practitioners are all died. (Great leap forward) search it. I just can't believe this guy is strong as I feel I could knock this guy out in 4 rounds. Just can't ****! I hate this feeling! I just finished reading The Reincarnation of the sword god. And was searching for a new mmorpg novel but why?
The VRMMO is terribly designed. It has the most bare bones framework but nothing past it. It's hard to gauge the difficulty of fights as we have no clue how much HP the monster has or how much DMG MC (or anyone else, really) does. At best we get some vague **** like 'boss has tons of hp' and 'MC deals hills of dmg'. Stats are just numbers and they play little role besides 'he added points in agility now he's faster'. It's just too vague to be appreciated. Leveling curve is kind of nonsense to be honest, but, whatever, it's a power-fantasy VRMMO, it's not like you can expect any better. female characters in this novel are insufferable There's not a single decent female character in the novel. Every few chapters, new chick gets introduced and I just want to punch them all in the face. Perhaps the worst point is that the MC just goes along with their insanity. Our mc just does whatever people want because he is an, ”good person”. Writing style is... not that great. Excessive repetition, empty paragraphs of nothingness, very, very vague fights (MC dodged, he attack, he dodged them all easily, bam they're all dead). There's occasional fight with more detail, but not by a large margin. Even the very first BOSS fight is basically 'MC discovered the flaw, MC dodges, MC strikes, MC kills, the end'.
Mc is ok but the story is trash first he hunts most of the time where there is lvl 40-50 humanoid monsters he is using trash sword and equipment how!!! i dont know... would allllll those monsters he killed not drop good equipment??? he is in a high lvl area??? second we have no idea what are the equipment stats.... third way is everyone stupid in this world there is like 2 people who have normal intelligence almost all of them are like young masters from those cultivation novel wtf???? This is suppose to be a high tech advance civilization that have developed VR way the **** is everyones IQ 10???? I really hate this kind of Chinese novel they dont make fucking sense everyone of them have that 4th grade syndrome or whatever it is called.. it would be much better if the author did a novel about this guy but he got transported in another world where he got a kids body and has talent to become a mage but he is really weak this way we could see how mc grows into a real combat mage not this stupid ****
I can’t believe this was cancelled. There are only 170 chapters left. Please finish this Webnovel!!! I know this was not as popular as the kings avatar but you can’t leave us hanging on the conclusion!!!
This needs to be finished. I hope that Webnovel does the courtesy of allowing this novel to be completed. Even though this is different than butterfly blue’s other novel, this is at least worthy enough to allow the last 170 chapters to be done.
Shit, I was still reading this on gravity tales when it was suddenly taken down. Even worse is that I was on chapter 435 but the chapters beyond 400 isn’t on the Webnovel app yet.
Please give this novel a shot. This is a great VRMMO novel with funny characters and cool moments. Where the king's avatar did not have world-building in Glory, this novel has lots of world-building within the VRMMO world.
Please give this book a chance. The characters are really enjoyable and the plot moves along necessary. This is one of my favorite VRMMO novels.
This is a great and enthralling novel by the same author of TKA. I have no idea why some reviews call the characters flat. I really enjoy the characters of the mercenary group and find them to be entertaining. This really scratches the itch for VRMMO novels.
I was sure the author had 500 chapters on gravity a couple weeks ago as it transitioned to here. Now have to wait another few months for it to catch up to current. I keep getting more and more disappointed with webnovel and its bs. Whether it's stealing translations done by others when they get shutdown and then profiting to charging insane amounts for novel translations that can be dropped at any point with no guarantees. Translators went from under payed to over payed. These authors wouldn't have the visibility they currently have if it wasn't for the communities in the first place, and now they are too greedy.
