At morning Drake exited the capsule and saw that everyone was already up. Max was so impressed by the kid that he even got him a breakfast with a Fanta. Derek looked from the side with a little envy. Valeria was cheerful as always. She and Max practiced on her body really hard during the night. She was humming happily every morning. It gave Drake a pleasant feeling.
Max said: "Kid you did well. But don't get complacent. This is only the beginning. You will need to work hard on yourself to be in the phase of Rey in term of cultivating your life energy. You need always to work extra hard to be on top. Alright. After you finish eating you can go to the rest of the brats. Don't forget to come at evening."
After finishing the meal Drake left. Max did not leave anywhere today. He had a lot of nobles to rob from their gold coins. He was satisfied with how much those bastards died. He liked the fact that they came to pay him 10 gold coins for knight apprentice and 100 gold coins for a knight for a single hour to die and die over and over again. It was paying money for masochism. It was a strange, but Max enjoyed it.
During the day Max earned around 500 gold coins. The noble brats were getting different people to try their luck with the level one bot, but all died in sad ways. Max did not do anything fancy. He tried to stay the maximum amount at the gaming club and earn the maximum number of coins he could while those nobles still tried. He was sure they will not last for long. The most notable of the nobles was Albert. He was the most hardworking one and he got a little bit of progress. Max did not want to help this brat at all. He wanted him to suffer and die. And that what happened. When Max was bored, he would get in the simulation and see how the nobles would get sliced apart time and time again. The prince threw tantrums at his tutors. It was a lost case. Max was amused that those tutors died almost the same way as their noble students. It was a funny sight.
At evening Drake came again to the gaming club. He was a little stressed. He wanted to see how he will get the ability to get to a level of an apprentice knight and how he could earn money. When Max saw him, he smiled and said: "Kid today I will open the goblin crypt to you in the simulation. Also, I will give the bot the ability to teach you the knight skills. If you will be able to finish the goblin crypt alone and kill the boss, you will get promoted to the first level of knight apprentice. Also, it will give you low talent for knight energy cultivation and you could get a suitable technique to cultivate life force from the simulation. Also, from killing the boss you could get weapons or armors that should cost around a gold coin in price. You could equip it on yourself or sell it and earn money. The weapon or armor drops from one of five bosses on average. It is not bad. There is also a low chance to get it from the normal goblins, but it is really low. You can also die in the goblin crypt unlimited number of times. If you take a higher level of difficulty the bosses will drop better equipment. Your major goal now is to get to a level of knight apprentice. The goblin crypt can get you up to a second level knight apprentice so use it. It will be faster for you to get to the level of second knight apprentice this way because even after you get life force energy your talent will be low to cultivate it. Use all of the chances you have. You will get a spatial ring that could store this equipment from the simulation. Do not talk about it to others. Not even your classmates until they get the permition to access the goblin crypt. Do not help them without my pemition with anything in the simulation. Do you understand?"
Max looked at the kid solemnly. Drake got the point and nodded. Max communicated with the system to allow the kid all the permitions he talked about. From this day onward the days went in a similar matter. In the daytime the nobles came to spend around 500 gold coins on average. At night Drake came to the gaming club to challenge the goblin crypt. Drake was a human machine. He could get to the boss after a month of training inside the simulation, but he could not win the boss itself. After he saw that his skills were not sufficient Drake started to learn all knight skills until perfection.
He learned the next skills:
-Shield Strike: Shield strike was a defensive move that not only can defend the user from an enemy, but it also can hit and stun the opponent.
-Guard: Guard is a skill that concentrate the life force of the knight on the shield to defend against a strong attack.
-Hilt Smash: Hilt Smash in an unexpected move the can be launched against a foe after a defensive move if you don't want to kill the enemy. You hit the enemy with the hilt of the sword.
It was not much but Drake needed all the tools he needed to be able to dominate the boss of the goblin crypt. The goblin king was too strong. Drake saw the line on his screen that he got only 10% from killing all the goblins from all the nine floors of the goblin crypt. The main idea was to kill the boss. After trying for full 8 hours of the nighttime he still could not kill the boss. Drake decided to just farm the monsters to get to a level of knight apprentice. It was slower by a lot but he could do it with time. It was very hard to kill those monsters solo.
The first 3 floors were pretty similar to each other. There were groups of five, six, seven goblins at the first, second and third floor respectively in a pretty short distance from each other. If the person or the party were not careful and deal with the group quickly without a lot of noise, they could aggro the other monsters at their location and have serious problems. That what Drake saw. The goblins were on a level of a rank one bot with their normal physical powers. From the fourth floor and onwards there were two more monsters added: Goblin warrior and goblin shaman. Both of those monsters were at a rank of D low and had special abilities. The goblin warriors had a body comparable to a normal human and better gear than the normal goblins. The goblin shaman had one of the four main attributes of water, fire, wind or earth. Those monsters were the most dangerous ones in this dungeon. From the fourth to the seventh floor those monsters respawned in a bigger quantity. If a person was not careful, he could draw a couple of goblin shamans and goblin warriors with a small party of ordinary goblins. It will be pretty much game over for those people. In the eighth and ninth floors every small party of 5 to 7 ordinary goblins had a goblin warrior or shaman with them. It was a formidable force for newbies to handle. It will not be easy for people to pass this level even with a party of players. At the tenth level there was a boss monster called the goblin king. It was a low rank C monster that was very big for a goblin at the height of 2.5 meters tall.
Drake started to farm the goblin crypt all the nine floors except the boss floor. It was a long journey to a solo player. Drake took his time. He could get all nine floors in a way slower clearing speed than Max. He was also a kid. He did not have the advantages Derek had. He was just 12 years old. Fighting those goblins that were same as him in size was hard. Each of them was on a level of level one bot. Drake just killed and killed. He saw the percentage rising slowly and he just grinded like crazy. Max saw that the kid could not really kill the boss. He was just too weak. In the next few days Max observed the nobles and Drake. The nobles did not really progress. Albert was the most notable, but Max did not want to help this rude retard. As for Drake. After four days of hard-core grinding, he got his 100% and got his promotion. When it did happen, and Drake felt the power surge in his body he started to jump like crazy. After the adrenalin went away, he started to cry. Those were tears of happiness. He did it with his two hands. Worked day and night. Like a mad man. He did it. It took years in the simulation. He died so many times. He stopped counting long time ago. He did die horrible deaths in the goblin crypt. Those goblins just ate him alive when he got caught. Sometimes he got cooked. Thats why when he felt he was losing he just killed himself. After those years of fighting this kid was a real warrior. He could feel the situation and potentially lead people. He really did grow as a person. He was a real warrior. His talent was reinforced with experience and strength. At the last day Max gave Drake a choice. Drake could rest or he could continue training. Drake did not even think. He got to train. The first day in the simulation he slept. He wanted to get to a good condition. Max told him that it would be best to get a full bronze level set of equipment. Drake for now had only the normal sword from the system to fight. The next four months Drake farmed the boss for equipment. As a knight apprentice he could kill those mobs easily at an unranked level. Soon morning arrived. With him arrived the new semester of the academy year.
