Magnus, Dante, and the rest of the people were caught off guard and fell into an illusion.

Some of the men began to swing their hands in the air as if something was attacking them.

Magnus and Dante were in a different illusion.

They found themselves in clearing, surrounded by an eerie forest. They looked around and on the ground, and they were immediately alerted by the quick sand on their feet. They stopped moving and looked for something to hold on to and avoid sinking further.

Magnus frowned. Somehow he felt he should not be in this place, but without tangible evidence to confirm this nagging feeling, he could only look for something to get him out of this predicament.
