"Umm, let's not invade each other's privacy," Katherine said, realizing this wasn't a good idea, her denial intriguing alpha Kristian even more.

So many girls would die to be in the same spot as her, but here she was, feeling uncomfortable.

Or was it because she was shy? Alpha Kristian tried to look into his eyes. However, she was looking down at her lap. 

He held her chin to lift her face slightly, but before he could do that, someone else held Delilah's hand and pulled her up with a jerk, making her foot almost slip, and she would've really tumbled back and fallen into the ditch if not for the strong grip of the person.

"Miss Delilah," Maximus said, his storming eyes, making Katherine feel guilty as if 

 she was cheating on him or something.

"Mr. Maximus," Katherine whispered, noticing how close they were standing with her breasts pressing against his.
