Lucas's POV:
"Who am I?" Spoke the figure. The voice was definitely a womans, but she still continued to move closer step by step.
I didn't utter another word as she came closer, the fear overwhelming me into a statue.
She stopped as soon as she was at the end of the bed frame. It was dark but I could make out parts of her face. I had never seen this woman before and yet here she is. Standing in front of me.
She climbed over the bed frame and crawled over me, her face now centimeters away from mine.
"You are Lucas, correct?" She spoke again. 'How did this creepy lady know my name?'
I gulped and silenced fell as she awaited my confirmation.
"I, uh...I am." I hesitated to respond.
She smiled. 'Oh gawd. I should of said no.'
"Then where is your vampire knight? He is the one who killed my brother." She hissed.
I froze. 'She wants Evan? He killed her brother? What does she want with him? To kill him? In return, a life for a life?' My thoughts ran wild at all the possibilities.
"Or I suppose I could just kill someone he holds dear instead. Just like he did to me." She spoke in a spiteful voice and reached her hands around my neck.
My hands instinctively reached up to stop her grab.
"W-what are you doing! Let go!" I managed to yell.
Her hand began to become more forceful and she started to strangulate me. I could feel my throat being crushed, I couldn't speak a word to stop her. Only choking noises came out of my mouth. 'I'm gonna die!'
With my hands not being very effective, I reached out to her face to push her away. But to no avail, my strength was fading and she was most definitely a vampire. So there was no way to overpower her. I attempted to move my legs, but she had them held down by hers. And my hips were much to weak to fight her off.
My vision was blurred with red and my control of my limbs ceased. I wanted to kick and scream. To get her off me and live. But my consciousness was fading and I was left defenseless.
I blacked out and couldn't see.
But my neck was released. The force pushing my throat stopped and I could hear yelling. I coughed violently, probably coughing blood from the sounds of it.
I lied there limp and regaining my strength. I was so drained. I had no energy, I was just on the brink of death, but somehow, miraculously, I lived.
Bangs and crashes were all around me. The crazy lady was yelling "Murderer!" Grunts and the movements of another was fighting her off. 'But who?'
It wasn't Evan. It didn't sound like him at all. I tried to open my eyes, catching a glimpse of the back of a tall figure. The man seemed familiar somehow, yet I couldn't identify him.
The lighting was far too dark to get a good look of ethier of them. The two battled each other, launching attack after attack at each other. Neither giving in. I tried to stay conscious for most of the fight, but my eyelids were drooping and I caught myself collapsing into a slumber.
