Capítulo 31: Chp 31:A few drinks
Lucas's POV:
I wandered around the city streets for a few hours. I stopped at a local restaurant and grabbed some lunch to fill my rummbly tummy. And continued on my walk again. I got lost a couple times, finding myself in dingy alleyways. The sky was turning dark and Everyone began to go home. Only a few people were out at a local bar.
I mean I don't quite know where I was, but I also couldn't remember my way home. I would of used my phone to find my way back. However I was stupid enough to run off with my wallet but not my phone.
I entered the bar and all eyes fell onto me, like it was some movie where the outsider enters the western bar and is instantly disliked. However people continued their drink after one glance at me.
I wiped some forming sweat off my forehead and sat down next to the bar. I wasn't gonna order anything but it felt weird if I didn't. So I got a beer and sipped it slowly, careful not to get drunk. I was a lightweight when it came to drinking.
It wasn't three minutes later until a stranger approached me. A woman dressed in very revealing clothing. She brushed against my hand and whispered into my ear, "Wanna come have some fun with me?" She smiled a devilish smirk and caressed my back.
'Is she a hooker?' Was my first thought. But I looked a little closer to her smile and fangs were beginning to expose themselves.
'Oh crap, another vampire!'
"Ah-hahaha. No it's quite alright. I was just getting a drink." I lifted my drink in the air a bit, proving my answer with nervous laughter.
"Aww. Is that so. I was thinking that I could get a drink as well tonight. However no one is offering." She pouted
She began to creep closer to me. Making me tense up. That was until another figure imposed on us. The tall man pushed between her and me like a blockade.
"I apologize but this guy is mine." Said a familiar deep voice to the lady.
"Oh my. No no, I apologize sir Ren. I hadn't the idea he was yours, if I did I wouldn't of-"
She was cut off by him raising a hand to silence her, and she walked away.
He took her seat and faced me. He was wearing a suit and tie with a black hat that covered most of his brunette locks.
"What are you doing at a vampire bar?" Questioned Ren with concern.
"Uhhh. No reason I just felt like a drink." I lied.
"Ohh is that so. Then don't drink at a vampire bar for future reference." He smirked
He was alot more easygoing than the last time I met him. I mean he was casual and nice before but got super serious when talking about my core.
" So what are you doing here?" I inquired.
"Nothing that concerns you. But if you must know, I was doing some business and passed by seeing you getting harrassed by a lady." He chuckled.
I rolled my eyes with a sour expression.
"Where's Evan? Shouldn't he be stuck to you like glue?"
"Let's not talk about him right now." I answered firmly.
He snickered at my response and placed his big hand on my back, rubbing it with comfort.
He didn't dig deeper. He respected my choice to not talk about him and comforted me in return.
This was nice He didn't make a big deal out of anything. Just stayed there like a friend.
We chatted a bit and had a few drinks. It wasn't until I started to slur my words did we stop drinking, but I was fully hammered by then. He supported me to his car.
"Should I take you back to Evan or do you want to come home with me?" He questioned, unsure if my answer from earlier ment I didn't want to see Evan for a bit.
"y-you." I managed to answer.
With that he got his personal chauffeur to drive us to his place. But I blanked out after that. All that alcohol was hitting really hard. I may be immune to vampiristic charms but not alcoholic charms.
