Capítulo 11: Chp 11:Immune?
Evan's POV:
Lucas furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "What are you trying to do? If you wanted more pancakes you could of just asked normally."
"Huh, you are immune to it." I stated, gaining a even more confused look from Lucas.
"Immune to what?"
"My compulsion. Normally when I command a human with my red eyes, the human does it, no questions asked." I answered, flicking his nose at the last part.
"So if it actually would of worked I would of made more pancakes for you like a salve?" He rubbed his nose of the sudden flick.
"Was that what you were trying to do when you asked my to forget you pinned me down earlier?!" He interrogated with an annoyed tone. Pointing a finger at me and eyeing me up to analyze my answer.
"uh..yeah. You can imagine my surprise when you answered with a 'What?'." I chuckled, trying to ease the tension filling the room.
Lucas wasn't happy about my answer. He wasn't too thrilled with the idea that I tried to control him at all. I can understand why, I would hate it too if I had no control over my actions or things I forgot.
"I know it was wrong of me to try something like that, but in my defense that's how I used to live. If I wanted to alter the outcome of a conversation with a human I would just compell them. It doesn't harm them so it isn't that bad." A sour look was all I got as I tried to dig myself out of the situation.
"I'm sorry." I figured that was the safest way to end that conversation of my ramblings on for a way to save myself.
Lucas loosened a bit at my apology, but still wasn't completely convinced of my sincerity.
I grabbed his hand and looked into his deep ocean eyes. "I promise to never, ever attempt to harm you ever again, or even think of using my compulsion against you, not like it would work anyway." Rubbing his hand with my thumb, I broke the eye contact and hung my head low, looking pitiful.
"Okay, I believe you." Lucas chimed in with a smile threatening to curve his lips.
My head rose the instant he said that just like a dog who was no longer being told off and getting the baby voice filled with love.
"Anyway, do you have any idea as to why I'm immune?"Lucas diverted the conversation.
" I don't really have any clue. But I have an old friend of mine who might know something or someone who does." I exclaimed.
" Yeah? That's good news."
The awkward silence returned, threatening our relationship. 'It was going so well, maybe I shouldn't of mentioned my compulsion power? No, that wouldn't of done any good. He would've found out eventually and been twice as hurt and angry.'
"Can I see your eyes one more time?"
The sudden question startled me a bit. 'Why does he want to see my eyes. Won't he be frightened again?'
Quietly I obliged, turning my head to face him again. My meadow green eyes slowly transformed into dark red orbs.
He was still nervous about my eyes. He stiffened up and gradually lifted a hand to my face. Rubbing me cheek with his thumb.
The sudden movement caught me off guard and I grew still. 'He's voluntarily touching my face and looking into my vampireistic eyes.'
"They're hideous aren't they?" I muttered.
"No, No they're not. They're quite enchanting actually." He corrected, Earning a pink flush from me of the sudden complement.
Silence fell again but not like before. This time the air was warm and comforting.
