"Is it really okay?"
The considerate Sheele walked over and handed Lin Yi breakfast.
Today, Sheele looked exceptionally stunning. Already tall, she was wearing a light purple cheongsam and a pair of pure white silk stockings, very eye-catching.
However, her breakfast was far from praiseworthy.
Lin Yi looked at the plate she handed him, which contained some sort of pitch-black unidentified substance.
Sheele's personality is indeed quite strange. Her natural cluelessness is exaggerated to the point where she could mess up anything.
For example, she would accidentally burn food while cooking, use the wrong seasoning, or mix up salt and sugar when buying daily necessities.
When assassinating a target, she would even get the target wrong and protect them for a while.
And so on. These exaggerated scenarios could all happen to Sheele, but she has her strengths, such as being considerate and being very tolerant and hardworking in all matters.
"Thank you."
Lin Yi took the breakfast, thinking that with his physique, eating it once should not be a problem.
"Don't worry, Mine's personality is like this; she'll calm down soon."
"Mr. Lin Yi, you are a gentle man."
Sheele sincerely complimented.
"Me? Gentle?"
Lin Yi was slightly stunned, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
Still, he finished Sheele's breakfast. The taste was indeed nothing to praise, but it was the thought that counted.
"Ah, I made a mistake, this was made when I was practicing cooking, Akame made the breakfast in the kitchen."
Sheele only realized midway through Lin Yi's meal and called out.
She also knew that her cooking skills were not very good.
"It's okay, Sheele's cooking is still pretty good, you see, I've finished it all." Lin Yi showed the empty plate.
Sheele was slightly stunned, and gave Lin Yi a sweet smile.
"Mr. Lin Yi, you are indeed a gentle man."
At this time, Mine also changed her clothes and stormed out of the room angrily.
Since Lin Yi had promised to help Najeta train Mine properly, he naturally wouldn't go back on his word. This was also to increase Mine's survivability.
The first step of the training was physical training.
Mine's physical strength was too poor; she could get out of breath just by running for a while.
"Is this your revenge?"
"I'm not done with you, Lin Yi."
"Woo woo woo ... I was wrong, I really can't run anymore."
"How much longer does this have to go on?"
"I really can't do it anymore."
…
In the forest outside the base where the night raid took place, Mine's cries for help filled the air.
Lin Yi was measured in his actions, allowing Mine to rest only after he had exhausted her stamina. As a user of the Imperial Arms, the intensity of Mine's training was naturally not weak.
After all, her future enemies would not be easy to deal with.
"Damn you, Lin Yi, don't fall into my hands."
Mine muttered under her breath, but dared not raise her voice, fearing Lin Yi would hear her and make her train even harder.
When training ended, Lin Yi found a hot spring for her to relax in.
He stood guard outside, not peeking in on her, but being able to tease and play around with her still lifted his mood.
As he pondered, Mine carefully stepped out of the hot spring, wrapped in a towel.
She had been secretly watching Lin Yi and found that he indeed hadn't peeked, and felt relieved.
"You did well in the training, here's a small gift for you."
Lin Yi hesitated, then pretended to pull out from his pocket a dazzling green gemstone, which actually came from a system space.
The gemstone, shining faintly green in the sunlight, was as large as a baby's palm.
"It's beautiful."
Mine was momentarily stunned. Girls seemed to have no resistance against such shiny things.
However, she blushed slightly and said, "This can't count as a confession."
Confused, Lin Yi tapped her on the head, realizing she had misunderstood.
The mood was broken, and she glared at him.
"It's a special gemstone from my hometown with mystical powers comparable to the Imperial Arms," Lin Yi explained.
In reality, the gemstone was a magical stone from the Dragon Nest World.
"Not weaker than the Imperial Arms?"
Mine was skeptical at first, but upon holding the gemstone, she felt a refreshing coolness, as a barrier of faint green light enveloped her.
"It's called the Gem of the Forest. It will automatically raise a barrier when the host is in danger, strong enough to block at least three attacks from super-dangerous creatures," Lin Yi added.
"But don't rely too much on it."
Knowing Mine's weaknesses, Lin Yi thought this gemstone would suit her well.
Mine felt the gemstone's mystical power and knew Lin Yi was not lying; it was a priceless treasure.
And he was giving it to her.
"Stubborn but kind-hearted man," she muttered, carefully storing the gemstone.
Lin Yi yawned, he was quite tired after a long day.
Suddenly, he felt someone lie down on his lap—it was Mine.
"Don't overthink it, I'm just tired and want to rest," she murmured.
"As a gentleman, you'll let me lean on you, right? If not, I'll get up."
Mine explained nervously, but obviously, it was an awkward situation.
"Sleep. Training is over for today," Lin Yi said softly, patting her head.
Mine settled down, closing her eyes and lying in his arms.
Time passed and the sky darkened.
The night sky was beautiful, with the moon and stars twinkling.
Mine woke up, feeling discomfort in her chest. Looking up, she saw Lin Yi's sleeping face.
"He doesn't look annoying when he's asleep," she murmured.
She then found the cause of her discomfort—Lin Yi's hand was covering her chest.
"Lin Yi!!!"
Her roar resounded, abruptly shattering Lin Yi's peaceful dream.
