Quynn wasn't expecting such an irritated tone from her. He had never even heard her talk to anyone like that before. He wondered if it was because of whatever was wrong with her currently, or if she was simply giving him a taste of his own medicine.

"I see a lady in distress.It's only normal I ask her..."

"Kindly save yourself the stress," she cut him off, her voice crisp and dismissive. And with that, she walked away, leaving Quynn standing there, surprised by her behavior.

But his face remained impassive, revealing none of his thoughts. He only slipped his hand into his pocket and watched her walk into her room, his eyes narrowing slightly .

Leticia discarded the heels and went straight to her bed, collapsing onto it with a sigh. She grabbed a soft pillow and hugged it close, replaying the events from earlier that day in her mind. Everything was going so right, then it suddenly went all wrong.
