The steady rhythm of the rain against the carriage roof was calming at first, but it quickly turned into a torrential downpour, soaking the surrounding landscape. Across from them, Vanisa and Liza sat, their faces reflecting the gloomy weather. Vanisa stretched out her arms, cracking a small smile. "Looks like it's the rainy season now. Just our luck." Her voice was light, but there was a subtle tension in the air from the cold seeping into their bones.
