Capítulo 8: The start... I hope
He opened his eyes the next morning, his first sleep in this world felt more pleasant than He anticipated. He then sat up in a lazy manner and got up to prepare to leave, He put on his jacket again as that's the only thing he took off before sleeping.
When He opened the door, a lady greeted him and said, "I have been waiting for you, oddity, why don't you introduce yourself? No need for formality or lie though", she said that with a straight face, which startled Ken slightly as he didn't expect his first morning will be an interrogation.
Seeing his hesitant look, the lady raised her hand and flicked which instantly teleported him somewhere else, before realizing, Ken was inside an asylum-like white room with nothing inside it, when suddenly a hoarse voice resounded inside the room, "did you not hear the instructions intruder? State your identity and why you were on our property?".
The more Ken listened, the more he doesn't understand. "I'm sorry sir but I don't know what you're talking about, I only know that I woke up inside a forest and just wander around since then", Ken answered clearly and was slightly relieved that his answer was not cut up like how it usually goes inside a story.
"Well that's your problem, the point is that your intrusion made several problems for us and our plan, how do you pay for this, hm?", the voice resounded again.
Ken was speechless, "what's that? I didn't feel like I did something wrong.... ah", as Ken thought about it, he became clear on something, "Is it... because I killed that dragon? I thought it was something that could be done, after all, it's on the mission board". After he said that, silence filled the room, making Ken sweat after some time out of nervousness.
Laughter suddenly resounded and the voice said, "hahhahah, congratulations, now I'm slightly more convinced after hearing your naive answer and altitude, however, unfortunately for you that wouldn't save your life, I don't who or what sent you here, but you must die according to the law that was set by the supreme court.", the voice answer, dumbfounding Ken, what law, he didn't even know it much less this Supreme court thing, is he going to die again, abruptly? Ha! Like he would allow that.
He then opened space with his own hand, and surprisingly what beyond it was space, not void. As he had learned that if he entered space without any protection He dies, this time he covered his body with a layer of solid adamantium, which because of the lack of such element around him, used his own energy at a fast rate, emptying him in an instant just enough to make a big enough capsule for him, then he throws himself inside the space crack and the space crack disappeared.
All happened in less than five seconds and the man observing these happen just stared at it in a daze, unknowing what reaction he should have.
In space, He couldn't see anything around him because of his capsule, but even if he wanted to, he couldn't because that would kill him. Well, He didn't mind but it's kind of a hassle to restart it somewhere again. He thought about it, again and again, trying to figure out how he could navigate through this space, at this moment he regretted why he didn't learn physics and chemistry at high school.
Just as he was pondering hard, his voice in the subconsciousness said, "why are you thinking so hard? Just use space element, you mastered it didn't you?".
"Ooh. Thanks, Aion, then lemme try", He then tried creating space element behind his capsule, and...
"Uh oh it doesn't work, I couldn't pinpoint where it is and I also can't see forward, i don't even know if I'm going forward", he cried.
"Haa you moron, why must it be you? Ahh, I'm not getting entertainment here, but becoming a babysitter", the voice inside his head ranted.
It then continued, "just use the portal duh that's the whole purpose of space element, and if you don't where you're going then just make it in all directions, I didn't make that body just so it could run out of elemene affinity, it's basically infinite!".
"Eh? but why I was always exhausted?", Ken wondered as He did what the voice said. "I will just teleport back to that elf planet as that's the best place.
As he felt the feeling of gravitation, he knew he had arrived and removed the capsule.
Just like that, He arrived in a cold forest, with a bit of snow. A few torn tents were seen around, He was back in the forest where he killed that elf.
"Whew, that was bizarre. Also, I didn't exhaust much, is this improvement?", Ken said excitedly. "No It's not, the distance was just that short so not much was consumed, and the fact that It was consumed showed how useless you are", the voice inside his head resounded again.
Ken was once again puzzled, "what did I do wrong this time", he thought. "Am I not supposed to use it at all?", He thought again.
"Bring me a small wood", the voice said again.
"For what?"
"To teach your dumb self"
"Uh ok", He then picked a slightly frozen wood from the ground, "Here-", the wood then trembled and float on its own, "Haa, even while choosing, you're still the worst, whatever, this is still useable, now listen to me, I'm gonna teach you and listen to me how your power works.", the wood said in Aion's original voice.
Ken then nodded and Aion started explaining,
"It's simply like this, your body can accommodate many laws, and two of them are magic and element. The thing is, what you have been calling element is actually a combination, well, It's not a bad thing as it increases its power, but it's not really suitable for you because for the sake of making it flexible, I lowered your body's durability and endurance.
"What you have been doing is using your own mana inside your body, while also connecting yourself to the elements around you, this put a strain on your body, so you're exhausted more easily, do you understand now?", The wood-Aion said.
At this moment, Ken only has one thought, 'did I just got lectured by a wood?'.
He then snapped and said, "ah sorry, can you repeat that? I wasn't really paying attention, lecture isn't really my strong spot".
Aion was speechless, this guy... She had seen his life on earth, and it was, to say the least, weird. His life was illogical, he wasn't smart at all, in fact, he was dumber than most if not all guys his age, but he got admitted to a college quite normally, he also had a girlfriend despite having no charm himself, and he had a good friend although he never really deepened their friendship. His life was so good then even she, a god was jealous. "His luck is too good", she thought as she sighed.
"Just... figure it out yourself", Aion then abandoned the wood and the wood fell to the ground.
"..."
"I did hear something like magic and something, in the end, I don't know what I did wrong.... oh yea she said something like don't use magic right"
"I NEVER SAID THAT", a loud voice resounded inside his head, startling him which made him shut up.
"I will repeat this one last time, to not exhaust yourself, use either magic or element, not both! Do you hear me?"
"Yes ma'am", Ken stood there answering, if anyone were to see this, they would assume he was crazy.
In a distance, a small silhouette resembling a child stood behind a tree, He seemed to have stood there for a long time, "I need to report this", He said with a hoarse voice while running away quickly.
After knowing what to do, Ken immediately tried doing it, "so, let's try only one element, I just need to connect my surrounding but without using my power... how's that even possible?".
Ken tried multiple times, after trying for a while, Ken then realized something, "now I'm a hard worker, huh, that's weird, am I simply enjoying this?", He wondered.

"Oh, this.. is the feeling", he felt a connection outside his body and tried to control it without flowing something inside him, at first it was only a small amount of wind, and it grew stronger until it was like a breeze.
"....", "ain't this a little too weak? And it's hard to control too.", he thought.
Just as he tried to use magic this time, he heard a familiar sound, the air around him also flowed uncontrollably as if blown by a fan
"This is.. how", he said as he tried to find where this sound came from. The sound was getting closer and closer and when he started seeing it, suddenly a light flashed from where it came from, Ken squinted at the source of the light and saw a long rocket-like-, no, a rocket was flying towards him, "OH SH T", he then controlled the solid element around him, but because he was training only his element, he forgot to use magic and as a result, only a stone-dirt wall was created.
Before Ken corrected his mistake the rocket was already too close to the dirt wall and a second later the two collided,
BOOOOOM, the explosion, hit the weak stone wall and obliterated it, the explosion also obviously hit Ken as well, almost destroying his whole body and threw him away.
"Well that was easy, Are you sure he was the one?", a small man spoke while seeing through special google that seemed like it wasn't hindered by the fog, he was inside a dualcopter-like vehicle with its cabin looking round. There are also small fans on the rear and front of it, seemingly as a stabilizer.
"I'm sure it was, he was really controlling a flying wood!", said another small man in the cabin
"Hmm", the pilot pondered, "let's just go back and report first", he said as he piloted the dual copper away. Despite its seemingly nonaerodynamic form, it flew even faster than a plane.
