Capítulo 162: Warmth of his presence

Hazel splashed cold water on her face, letting the refreshing sensation clear her thoughts. As she dried her face with a soft towel, images of the Crown Prince aiding the young girl flashed in her mind. His unexpected kindness was at odds with the aloof image he often projected.

Shaking off the lingering thoughts, Hazel returned to her bedroom, only to find a servant waiting for her near the doorway.

"The Crown Prince has requested your presence, Miss," the servant said, bowing slightly.

Hazel's brows furrowed in confusion. Why would Daedric summon me at this hour? she wondered, but she nodded and followed the servant without question.

Upon reaching his quarters, she found Jameson, the Crown Prince's loyal aide, standing by the door. He greeted her with a polite nod. "Miss Hazel," he said, his tone respectful but neutral. "His Highness is expecting you."

Hazel drew in a steadying breath and stepped inside.
