Capítulo 44: CHAPTER 44: MISFORTUNE

"We mustn't stop no matter what, we will be dead if we do that!" the young boy cried as he looked at his older sister who was panting as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Do you think that I want this? My feet hurt and I can't move at all!" the older girl cried as she looked with an aggrieved expression at her little brother.

The young boy looked at his sister's feet and his heart ached so much. He was a bit stronger than her and if he helps her then their chance of running away will be greatly increased.

If he waits for his sister then those people may catch them and what will happen to them is something that he didn't want to think about. The greatest method of surviving this ordeal however was to ditch his sister and run away by himself.

But he couldn't do that, he has already lost everyone he saw as family and abandoned the only one person who was there by his side from day one, he wasn't that kind of person.
