"Lady Lexie, how about hiring 2-star or Elite rank awakeners?"
"That's right, lady Lexie."
"Lady Lexie, you are in Nightshire City. It will be challenging to find awakeners at the Master rank because they are top powerhouses in a small city like Nightshire City."
"Lady Lexie, even though I'm only at Elite rank, I'm a powerful awakener. I'm sure you won't regret hiring me."
"Me too. I'm a powerful 2-star mage."
"Lady Lexie, I've never lost in a fight before."
"Lady Lexie, just hire us."
Everyone, who was in front of the Moon Entertainment house, wanted to be hired by Lexie after finding out the reward.
Lexie said she needed someone to help her get something and the reward was one hundred gold coins and one Sky class high-level skill book or one Tier 4 spell book.
However, she only wanted to hire an awakener at Master rank or above.
This was the reason why they tried to change her mind because they were interested in the reward.
Heidi, Lexie's subordinate, was annoyed with their behavior.
She took one step forward and scolded all of them. "My lady wants to fight Yin-Yang Tiger, a 3-star magical beast. Do you think you can kill it with your strength? Tell me. Have you ever killed a 3-star magical beast alone before?"
"We have never killed a 3-star magical beast alone before, but I'm sure several 2-star or Elite rank awakeners can kill that Yin-Yang Tiger."
"That's right."
"Lady Lexie, just hire us. We will show you that we can kill the Yin-Yang Tiger."
"Yes. We are not lying because we are so powerful."
"Let us proof ourselves first."
They did not give up and still tried to change Lexie's mind because it was a good opportunity to get a good skill or spell book.
Heidi gritted her teeth and scolded them again.
The Yin-Yang Tiger was not an ordinary 3-star magical beast because that magical beast had two souls in one body, so it was like fighting two 3-star magical beasts at the same time.
As Heidi was yelling angrily, Ren touched his chin.
'Hmm? Yin-Yang Tiger? Reward?'
He shifted his gaze from Heidi to Lexie.
Lexie Cardenas was clad in a red robe.
She had fair skin, long legs and an amazing figure.
It was not an exaggeration to say that she was exquisite yet elegant.
Her long purple hair cascaded down her waist like a waterfall, and her dark grey eyes were as beautiful as the night sky, causing anyone who saw her to develop a special feeling for her.
She only had light make up, yet it seemed as if her face was elaborately drawn by a world-class artist.
Lexie was the head of the Cardenas family, one of four big families in Nightshire City.
She wanted to hire Master rank awakener because she needed someone to help her take a magical herb that was guarded by the Yin-Yang Tiger.
Even though she had many subordinates, none of them were at Master rank or 3-star, so she decided to hire someone to help her.
"Should I take it?" Ren could not decide immediately because he still did not know the reward.
He was not there when Heidi revealed the reward, so he had no idea about it.
Heidi decided to ignore them and shouted, "Announcement, my lady is looking for an awakener at the Master rank. The reward is one hundred gold coins and one Sky class high-level skill book or Tier 4 spell book. If you are interested, please come to us immediately."
Ren widened his eyes in surprise.
'One hundred gold coins and one Sky class high-level skill book?'
Right after learning the reward, he stepped forward.
He suddenly forgot his intention to go to the forest because the rewards were so tempting.
"Miss, I'm Ren Starfall, an awakener at the Master rank. I'm interested in the mission." It was a good opportunity to get a skill book and one hundred gold coins for free, so there was no way Ren would let it slide.
Everyone stopped talking and turned their heads toward Ren.
"Are you really an awakener at the Master rank?" Heidi inquired.
Ren did not release his aura, so he looked like an ordinary young man.
There were two ways to know someone's strength in this world.
First, they had to be on the same rank or higher rank than the target and lastly, they checked the target's strength by using skill, magic or magical tools.
However, these two methods would not work if the target did not release his aura or power because awakeners would look like ordinary people when they did not release their power or aura.
"Yes." Ren responded.
When Heidi was about to say something, five mature men prevented Ren from being hired by Heidi.
These five men were the ones who had spoken the loudest and who had been trying to change Lexie's mind.
"Who is this kid? Suddenly saying he is an awakener at the Master rank…does he want to cause trouble in this place?" A red-haired man named Glen spoke in annoyance.
"Kid, get out of here! This is not a place for someone like you." A blue-haired man named Jacob added.
"Lady Lexie, don't believe him! He looks like my son. There is no way he is an awakener at the Master rank." a green-haired man named Toby spoke abruptly.
"I'm sure he is lying to us." A black-haired man named Dan spoke, "He only wants the reward. After that, he will disappear instantly. Lady Lexie, don't take his words seriously."
"Kid, hurry up and get out of this place!" a brown-haired man named Vance said angrily.
They tried to make Ren look like a bad person because they did not want to lose the opportunity to get one hundred gold coins and one skill or spell book.
It was not every day someone offered a good reward for a mission, so there was no way they would let Ren snatch their reward from them.
Ren ignored them and threw a question at Heidi. "Miss, how is it? Do you want to recruit me?"
Heidi did not answer immediately and turned her head toward Lexie, asking for her opinion.
When Lexie was about to say something, Vance and the others spoke ill of Ren again, saying he was a liar or something along these lines.
"Lady Lexie, you will regret hiring him."
"That's right. He doesn't look like an awakener at the Master rank in my eyes."
"He even looks like an ordinary person."
"Hey, liar, why are you still in this place? Hurry up and leave this place!"
"Don't cause trouble in front of Lady Lexie's business. Don't you know who she is?"
Glen, Jacob, Toby, Dan, and Vance wanted to make Ren look like a bad person so that Lexie would not hire him.
Ren, who was standing in front of Heidi and Lexie, glanced at them.
At first, he did not want to bully them because they were only 2-star and Elite rank awakeners, but the longer he was silent, the more annoying they became.
"What?! Do you want to fight us?" Glen, who noticed Ren's glance, said angrily.
"Come. Let's fight. My hands are also itching because I haven't punched someone today." Jacob was not afraid of Ren because he still did not know how strong Ren was.
"Let's just beat him up and show everyone that he is a liar." Dan stated.
Ren, who could no longer suppress his annoyance, turned around and stared at them. "It seems like I need to teach you a lesson first before you shut your mouth, huh?"
"What? You wan- " before Vance had finished his words, he suddenly dropped onto the ground.
Boom!
The sound of his body falling to the ground reverberated in the entire area.
His nose broke, and blood came out of his mouth. Vance tried to stand up, but his efforts were in vain.
He could not move his body even for an inch, causing him to only be able to stare at Ren.
"Yo…u!" due to how heavy the pressure was, Vance struggled to say a word.
Dan and the others were shocked by what was going on.
"You! What did you do to him?" Glen retorted.
"Kneel!" Right after Ren's voice stopped, Glen and three of his friends fell to the ground.
Like Vance, blood came out of their mouths, and they could not move their bodies instantly.
They were only 2-star and Elite awakeners, so they could not do anything when Ren forced them to kneel with his energy.
The onlookers widened their eyes in shock.
Some of them even rubbed their eyes because they could not believe what they were seeing.
However, what they saw was still the same.
They saw Glen and the others lying on the ground without being able to move their bodies!
"What's going on?"
"What did he do to them?"
"Aren't they 2-star and Elite rank awakeners?"
"Does that mean he is really an awakener at the Master rank?"
"But he looks so young!"
"He indeed looks young. Is it because he is Master rank awakener?"
Countless questions popped up in their minds.
Sure, they heard when Ren said he was an awakener at the Master rank, but they could not tell how strong he was because the strongest among them was only at Elite rank or 2-star.
They did not meet the criteria to check Ren's power because Ren's Warrior class was already at the Master rank while his Mage class was at 3-star.
"This is…" Heidi also could not believe what she was seeing.
Ren looked so young, so she was shocked by his power.
'My lady, I don't know what's going on.'
She shifted her gaze from Ren to Lexie.
"Oh?" Lexie's lips curled up into a smile.
Unlike the others, she was a 3-star mage, so she could tell how strong Ren was.
'It seems like I met a genius.'
She was delighted because, with this, the possibility of her killing the Yin-Yang Tiger was high.
"Finally, some peace and quiet." While still forcing Glen and the others to kneel on the ground with his energy, Ren turned around to look at Heidi and Lexie. "Please pardon my rudeness, ladies. It was quite noisy earlier, so I had to shut their mouths first. Can we continue our conversation now?"
