The first thing Myoo saw when opening her eyes was a beautifully engraved ceiling. She frowned, where the hell was she and how did she get there. Sitting up, she looked around, she was in a long tunnel that seemed to go on into infinity on one side, and stop at a massive metal cage, on the other. Looking closer she saw that there was someone standing near the bars, it was tall with snow-white skin, a staff and a mouth that was also its eyes. It seemed to be gazing into the greenish water behind it and looking past them he saw a massive, dead, creature floating in it.
Standing up she cleared his throat, "Excuse me? What is this place?" The creature spun around, "Another one?" It then spread his arms and smiled broadly revealing rows of sharp teeth.
"Greeting child, I am Headon, the caretaker of the Tower of God. A place of mystery, where you can find anything you desire.
Honour and Pride?
Power and Influence?
Money and Riches?
Revenge?
Or… To transcend all such things? You will find it all at the top of the Tower, all you have to do is reach it."
Myoo blinked, "Why?" Frowning Headon lowered his arms, "Why what?" "Why would I want all those things?" she asked, scratching her head. That made the caretaker grin, "Come closer young one." Myoo smiled brightly and skipped towards the rabbit-looking creature, skidding to a halt before it. The grin on Headon's face widened, "Please, sit down." He then motioned to the ground in front of him.
Having both sat down, Headon laid the staff across his lap, "Tell me, why did you enter the Tower, what is it that you want?" Myoo smiled brightly, "I wanna make friends!" Headon's eyes grew wide, and a small chuckle emitted from his mouth. "What's so funny?" Myoo asked, a pout on her face. Trying to stifle his laughter, Headon placed a hand on his mouth, "Nothing, it's just that in all my years there hasn't been a single irregular that didn't want something grand. They all wanted power, fame, or women. But none of them have ever given me such a pure answer."
Over the next few hours, the two talked about various subjects ranging from shinsu to toys. While sometimes Headon would just listen as Myoo spoke of her life outside the tower, and her experiences there.
A sigh escaped Headon's mouth "It's about time you take your test, sadly we can't talk forever." he then pointed at the cage with his staff and the white steel eel came back to life. "Your test is to break the black ball without being eaten by the eel. I'd prefer to have you take an easy test but the rules are there for a reason." Myoo nodded sadly, before standing up and hugging Headon tightly, "I'll miss you." Smiling, the caretaker hugged her back, "Take care, the Tower is treacherous, beware who you trust."
Squeezing Headon one more time, Myoo pulled away, but not before noticing a golden light shine from behind her. She turned around and immediately spotted the small black orb floating by her side, "Um, what's this thing?" Headon smiled, "It's a pocket." Eyes wide, Myoo reached out and prodded it, "It's so small."
Nodding, Headon began walking away from the cage, towards the darkness, "So it is, but as I said, it's quite useful. Now go, your test awaits."
Myoo nodded, but halfway towards the cage she spun around and ran back towards Headon, flinging her arms around him, "I'll miss you." The rabbit smiled and stroked the little girl's head, "I'll miss you too little one." Squeezing even harder, Myoo asked, "Can I visit you sometime?" Headon nodded hesitantly, "Sure, but only as soon as you become a ranker." Glancing up at him, Myoo smiled, "Then I'll do it as fast as I can!" She then turned back around and sprinted towards the cage. "Try not to die, little one," Headon said as he watched her go.
Passing through bars, Myoo took in a deep breath. The white steel eel, which had been previously roaming around, spun in her direction. Myoo froze up as she felt the eel's cold blue eyes lock onto her. It screeched and dove towards her, its massive form swaying back and forth. She closed her eyes, praying for someone to save her. She heard the eel's jaws open ready to swallow her whole but nothing came, no pain, no deafening crash. She thought her prayers might have been answered, but when she opened her eyes an unexpected sight greeted her. The white steel eel had stopped mere inches from her and had flowered its head in a bow.
Myoo reached out and lightly touched the eel's snout. It wasn't wet like she was expecting, but considering that they weren't in water but shinsu, it made quite a bit of sense. "Could you please break that black ball for me?" she asked the eel, and without a moment's hesitation, the creature spun around and grabbing it with its jaw crushed the orb into little bits.
Glancing back at Headon, Myoo waved, she could feel her presence slowly leave that place and ascend to the next level.
"I'll see you soon, rabbit."
"I'll see you soon, little one."
