After the Great War the society became ideal.
Let me explain how the laws as we know them today seized to exist. Every dispute was solved by games called Events. The type of Events that existed were work, love and general purpose ones. Every event was organized by a lawyer which acted as the judge and two players or two teams. There was also a distinction between private and public events. The main difference was that the private Event had one judge while in the public one's the whole humanity voted to determine the winner. Events were essentially games so there was one winner that claimed the award and the loser that got the penalty. Of course love events were different. In the love events the gamers were usually a couple either to create one or solve a disagreement between them.
Secondly, every individual had an annual agreement with the government about which laws he was willing to follow. This was done at the age of 18 and was accompanied by a ceremony of coming of age. On this agreement there was a mandatory rule "Do not harm the individual" this was regarded as the Golden rule on earth. Do not harm meant either physical or psychological harm. The punishment for failing to abide by the rules was not too harsh, generally a deduction of merit points. The true punishment that was bestowed when the individual broke the golden rule was exile in a lawless country left to your destiny.
Thirdly, there was no real currency. Everything was measured with merit points . Merit points were generated by the government and distributed through the events to the citizens. There was a well calculated safety threshold that nobody would fall under and the system automatically replenished those that were going to go under. This was called the Gift. There were no rich or poor. There were only those that had the ability to have more and better experiences and those who dreamed and worked hard towards those dreams. Everything was about the experience.
Moreover, the trend "Merge with technology" was deeply rooted into human mind. People had a microchip in their brains allowing them to control a micro computer that used contact lenses or glasses as their screen. The ring that they wear allowed them when rubbing it to interact consciously with the system like a mobile phone. They could also interact with the system by giving thought commands. These commands were very specific but sometimes people triggered them unconsciously too. This microchip had a feature that was extremely useful and very popular. There were actually two modes on it.
One mode was called the Past meaning that the individual dream about the day that he had lived. The past would replay the day's events and reinforce those memories. The other mode was called the future were the person could see based on his tomorrow's agenda the interactions in a virtual type reality in his dream. He could see to elaborate how he and the other person would interact. This was a rough estimate but due to its popularity many breakthroughs were happening all around the globe.
What is more,the best thing about this society is that Luck had been glorified. Luck was the best and people were obsessed with it. Especially in love events. The system would match each person based in many factors but 50% was luck. Another lucky game that people loved was called "what color I am today" this matched people and gave statistics about color. This a pretty interesting game and as the story progresses it will be a key of understanding humanity of these time.
The government remained but it was nothing like the old world. It was only in name the real power where the 23 Kings. Each of them ruled 23 countries that were close to each other.
The 23 kings were mainly actors and famous movie stars all of them from the entertainment world. This was because people voted those that they adored. The elections were done every five years.
Last but not least, there was no real hard work. Every person that had merit points above a certain level was allowed not to work. Humans between 18-40 were obligated to "work" in simple jobs that the society needed however they were handsomely rewarded with merit points. The real difficult work was done by robots. Moreover people chose their real professions at the age of 15 they went to university at that age.
The professions had colored rankings. Black being the lowest , red, yellow, blue, orange, green, purple and finally white being the highest ranking among them. People were antagonizing in a healthy way and tried really earnestly to reach those rankings. Life was a beautiful game. This was a dreamlike society.
