Wivior turned the doorknob and opened the door to a small cream-colored room containing only a four-poster bed with sheer white curtains.

Doctor Oliver had intervened in their conversation with Elvira's friend and had sent them to rest in guest chambers for the rest of the day as he needed to treat Serena. He also prohibited them from seeing her again that day.

"You can rest here. I'll be in the next room if you need me." Wivior turned to walk away. Elvira grabbed his hand and clung to his body from behind.

"I am scared, Wivior." She pressed her cheek against his back and put her arms around his chest.

"Why?" Wivior didn't move a muscle.

"They took Cole from Serena. I don't know what I would do if anything happened to you. I would tear this world and the underworld upside down and then surrender myself to death itself..."
