Capítulo 58: Early Task
"I concede!" As soon Luke said those words, Like a car doing a sudden brake, a sharp screeching sound reverberated within the arena due to Yuri's action as she is dragging her feet over the ground to stop her speedy motion.
Fortunately, the referee jumped into their help and directly unleashed his ability and forcefully stop Yuri's figure from advancing any further. With Yuri being held on, the referee then announced, "Yuri Morgan win!"
The people within the stadium were all quiet even after the announcement. In their mind, a scene of Luke cornering Yuri is still fresh in their memory. Of course, they already know how strong Yuri was from seeing her previous battles. Even so, a determination and fierceness Luke's punches already blinded their senses and they thought he was the one who is gonna emerge as the winner.
Who would thought that the moment he's at the peak of the domination, Yuri was able to turn the tables easily as a flip of her hands. It was like Luke's action was within her expectation, and she only enjoyed the match, without the intention of ending it so early. This type of person was the one who truly dangerous.
'This woman really hid her intention really well.' Everyone thought in chorus.
"That Luke guy is doing pretty well. Unfortunately, that lady is too monstrous for the current him." Elder Wayne mumbled
"What a pity, your friend ended up losing now. What are you gonna do to cheer him up?" Caitlyn said as she threw a teasing glance at Aisyl.
Knowing her thought, Aisyl rolled her eyes at her, "I don't know how many times I've rolled my eyes today at you." She then pointed her chin at Luke, who slowly stood up from his lying posture, "Anyway, Luke isn't that type of person who easily discouraged just by a failure. He's probably already expected this result the moment he stepped on that arena. Even so, did you notice a slight of hesitation or fear within his face? No, right. So, you don't need to worry about his mental state. I think he's fine as usual."
Whistling at her, Caitlyn raised her eyebrows, "Woah, you know so much about him, huh? Didn't expect this side from you, Miss Aisyl~."
Gritting her teeth, Aisyl said in a tone of annoyance, "Get lost!"

Patting his suit from the dust, Luke heaved a sigh before he forwarded his hand to Yuri, "You're stronger than me indeed. Thanks for the experience."
"I hope we can fight again later when we reached the same level." Yuri Morgan shook Luke's hand as she replied.
The entire stadium went clamour upon seeing both participants shook their hands without animosity. A loss isn't an embarrassing matter. What embarrassing was if you couldn't accept the loss. Even the strongest Transceder must be suffered loss during their journey to becoming the strongest. Thus, a defeat isn't inevitable.
Accompanied by claps, Luke made his way to the lounge with Yuri Morgan following.
Once he entered the lounge, all participants' eyes immediately landed at Yuri Morgan figure behind him. Their gazes were mostly filled with frightened emotions. It was no doubt Yuri's performance earlier made them realize how weak they are compared to her. Even when she got cornered by Luke and looks about to lose, she could easily counter and injure Luke by a mere punch.
Ignoring their gazes, Luke took a stride to the washroom to wash his fatigue and sweats. After going through a bitter battle, what's he needs most is water!
Finish showering, wearing his towel only, Luke sat on the available bench of the change room while drying his hair with another piece of towel. As he dried his hair, a message came on his phone.
It was surprisingly from Kuvar.
"Don't tell me it's another crap meme he sent to me." Kuvar was often sharing with him a meme or funny videos. Hence, Luke immediately thought Kuvar was sending another funny video this time. However, upon opening the message, Luke's eyes become sober as he mumbled, "This early?"

Hurriedly run to his dorm, Luke immediately panted harshly the moment he arrived. Placing his hand on his bending knees, Luke's vision was blocked by the sweat that rolled down from his forehead. Only after he wiped it that he is able to see clearly what kind of person is standing before his dorm door.
Standing in front of his dorm room was a tall-figure wearing completely black clothes. His face was quite unnatural but Luke could deduce it was somewhat expressionless.
"You're here!" Kuvar exclaimed, drawing the mysterious-man attention as he immediately turned in Luke's direction.
"Yeah, sorry for arriving late." Luke apologized before he turned to the man, "When should we depart?"
The man instantly answered like it was auto-reply, "Right now."
Luke perplexed for a moment before able to recover and inquired doubtfully, "Like right now?"
Elder Wayne must know I've just received a blow from Yuri Morgan, right? Why did the task sounds so urgent that even with my condition aren't tip-top, he still sent me in?
The man nodded his head, "Hmmm...Right now."
Scratching his forehead, Luke replied awkwardly, "Alright then."
'Elder Wayne must already consider my condition. Hence, the task must not be difficult. Yep, probably the task was easy.' Luke keep convinced himself, but there was a strange feeling within his heart that telling him the mission isn't going smooth-sailing.
Shaking his head to brush that feeling off, Luke quickly adding, "Wait a minute, let me pack up my belonging first." Luke was about to enter the room when he turned around and asked hesitantly, "Can I bring my phone along?"
"Phone is no needed and could be a distraction to our mission later. Hence, bringing a phone isn't allowed." The man stated with no room for Luke to refute.
Disappointment filled Luke's heart at the moment, but since it was the regulation from the duty itself, Luke had no choice to obey it. Heaved a sigh, Luke replied in downcast, "Alright."
When he rummaged through his clothes, he paused his movement before yelled loudly, "How many days the mission would take?"
"Around a week." Came the reply from Kuvar, which probably an answer passed down from the expressionless man.
Nodding his head, Luke starts sorting his clothes that would suffice for a week's use. After packing the clothes, he inserted them into the middle-sized backpack and immediately carried it. Placing his phone above the desk, Luke instructed Kuvar and Timothy, "Keep my phone safe, and don't neglect your training."
"Alright, alright, stop nagging. We aren't a child." Kuvar pushed Luke to the outside of the room.
"But you are acting like one." Luke sharply replied, making Kuvar speechless and chocked on the words he about to speak.
Giving him a middle finger, Kuvar then said, "I don't know what brings the LSA tasked you this early, but be careful on your mission."
Bumping his fist lightly into Kuvar's shoulder, Luke said confidently, "Of course, didn't you trust my capability already?"
"Tch, you're only entered top 16 and yet dare to be so arrogant?" Kuvar clicked his tongue before shooed him away, "Go, that man looks like about to burst out in impatient soon."
Nodding at his words, Luke marched to the elevator, along with the expressionless guy. Inside the lift, Luke glanced at the man before asking, "So, what should I call you?"
Luke wanted to say that the man's face didn't look around his age but stopped himself, considered it was rude to comment about other people's appearances.
"You can call me Arian."
