Tied To Savior

I married the man my father had chosen for me. Clearly, it was a marriage filled with hatred and contempt. But in my eyes, he was a savior to me. He was the one who freed me from my horrible father's grip. Although he treats me like I don't exist, he has never attempted to harm or speak ill about me.

However, it came to an end for us. I realized I couldn't live like this forever once he went to war. As a result, my marriage ended the moment I stepped out of the Hyperion mansion seven years ago. Now, I live with the child of my deceased sister and act as his mother.

Nonetheless, we reunited. But he appears to be different. He seems to be skinnier and miserable. 

"Do you miss my mother?"
"..'mother'?"

After a brief pause, the duke's normally somber expression burst into a hard, well-cut sneer, scowling contemptuously. He looks at me with a grimace.

"Not enough with leaving me but now you had a child?"
