Capítulo 2: Loot Box System
Leo woke up hours later with a pain running through his entire leg which had been injured from his fall, and then the running. He was incredibly angry that everyone in his village, including his family, had tried to kill him, and in the back of his mind he knew that he would never be able to forgive any of them. However, he was also confused as he had thought he had heard something before he passed out, 'Loot box system? I think that's what I heard.'
As soon as he said this, a screen appeared in front of him:

Every level you gain, you will be awarded one loot box, this is the only way to gain them! To start with, you have been awarded one loot box that guarantees a monster! This monster will automatically be tamed by you, and so will every monster you gain from loot boxes in the future! Just click the loot boxes icon and you'll be good to go! Good luck in fulfilling your desires! Goodbye!'
Leo was confused about what was going on, as he had never heard of loot boxes before, nor had he heard of systems. He thought about how energetic the system seemed to be, and wondered if there were more, then were they all like his one. However, he stopped thinking so much, and as the message in his brain had said he could, he clicked on the loot boxes part of the screen in front of him.
As soon as he did this, an inconspicuous looking wooden box appeared in front of him, nothing seemed to be special about this box, but he kneeled down and flipped the latch on it anyway.
Once the latch was flipped, the lid of the box flipped open, and something jumped out of it. The box disappeared, and a creature landed in its place.
The monster looked like a kitten with a flame at the end of its tail, and lines running throughout its body that looked like magma beneath its skin. It was not that large as it came up to his knee, and Leo was 5'10 so this was not incredibly big. Leo used one of the skills he had been given as a Monster Tamer and appraised the kitten.

After looking over his first Tamed Monster's stats, he thought to himself, 'I've never heard of a monster like this before, but it seems to be okay. Hopefully it becomes stronger once it evolves, and then I can make sure nobody will ever be able to try and kill me again.'
"It looks like I should give you a name, let me think..."
After thinking for a while with his fire cat rubbing itself on his leg, he finally picked a name, "I'll call you Reaper. What do you think boy?"
Reaper purred loudly and rubbed himself on Leo's leg even more than he had been.
"I'll take that as a yes then! Let's get going boy, we probably need to find something to eat."
Leo walked with Reaper at his side in hopes of finding an animal that could be killed for food, however, they instead found something much more interesting.
After walking for around half an hour, something came into Leo's view. It was a large stone structure that had a wooden door on it. As soon as he saw it, Leo knew what it was.
This was the dungeon that was in the forest, he knew about it because it was discovered by villagers in his village a long time ago and they used to use it to gain food supplies and resources. However, as time passed, they started to get food and supplies from neighbouring villages and merchants that passed through. While this seemed stupid, the dungeon was too high risk and too low reward for most people to go into it as it did not provide an abundance of what it obtained.
This meant the dungeon had long been abandoned, and the food it could provide would be given only to Leo if he went inside and killed some monsters. Not only would it give him food, but it would also provide him with experience for his levels which would mean he could obtain more loot boxes and get levels for Reaper as well.
Leo walked up to the dungeons door and pushed it open...
