Capítulo 57: Everything Went Wrong

"What's wrong?" Anastasia stepped out of the room and noticed the surprised looks on both Daniel and Jayden's faces. They were standing by Daniel's desk, several feet away from her. "I dozed off earlier... didn't realise the time. Did you finish the meeting?" She smiled, glancing outside at the bright sky, guessing she hadn't slept long.

Daniel took a step closer, concerned in his eyes. "Are you okay?"

"Okay?" Anastasia looked confused. "Is this about Flora? Did she say something? She asked me to help convince you not to fire her, but I refused, and then she started rambling about me supposedly stealing someone's boyfriend." She paused, her lips forming a slight pout. "But I've never even had a boyfriend before… oh, wait. Did she mean you?"

Her question hung in the air, bringing an awkward silence to the room. "What? Did I say something wrong?"
