Aaron Channing was so close to the stage in front of him, he could feel the cool chills of it brushing past his feet, as he tried to relax himself. He was cold to the touch, even he could feel it, as for the nerves swimming through his entire body. The side of his face was burned, and the side of his solid ice skin had been shattered, leaving behind a giant hole where the surrounding ice had started to melt. That was one of the abilities of a cold one. Cold ones are able to transform their skin into freezing cold ice, but sadly, a warm one's fire can still melt the ice away, with a tiny bit of fire. Aaron had a very displeasing expression on his face, as he faced the courtroom, looking between all the faces of the three judges. Every one of them clearly had a problem with him, Aaron was aware of that from the minute he was born. The judges never approved of him, or his family.
The hatred they felt towards him only worsened the day he discovered his genuine feelings. The fact that he had feelings for a warm one named Alec Kamri was never taken very lightly. It just made him an even bigger target in the judge's eyes. Now of all days, there he was. Standing in front of the three of them, awaiting trail for a crime he had no part in starting. He knew who was to blame here, every so offend he met his eyes.
A stupid warm one by the name of Zane. Black hair with dump looking green eyes. Strong, but not exactly the brightest warm one in their world. It was more of a tactic. Strike first, ask questions later. It seemed Zane had caused a scene the moment he glimpsed Alec and Aaron together. Stupid homophobic...Aaron thought to himself as he met the green eyes of Zane. He realized this was what he wanted to have happen right from the start. It wasn't even an act of war! Warm ones and cold ones were never at war, nor was it illegal to date one, so there weren't any problems with breaking the law in that way, which probably enraged Zane more. From how many hours he took, trying to convince the judges in the court, to issue a rule against warm ones and cold ones having any contact with each other, was completely unaware to Aaron. Zane wasn't a nice guy.
Aaron however felt his body temperature rise from zero to a little higher, as he felt the edge of his elbow get poked. As he turned his head to the right, he met a pair of sweet, caring brown eyes, followed by a red shine belonging to long spiky hair. He smiled at the sight of him. That person was Alec. The man he'd fallen in love with. He felt instantly better knowing he wasn't going into trouble alone, so as he felt Alec brush up against him, he heard the grunting and sighing of one of the judges, as both of their eyes looked over at the judges again. Alec who shared Aaron's annoyed expression, as he had no desire to leave.
''What did you think you two were doing?!'' Shouted the judge in the middle of the row. The other two sitting on each side of him, lightly nodding their heads in agreement, as if they shared the same option as the first. Which Aaron knew to be true. The judges were homophobic as well as Zane. Which Aaron just got another reason to dislike them even more.
''You could've destroyed the town! A warm one shouldn't fight a cold one! And a cold one shouldn't fight a warm one! It's about peace. Exactly what were you trying to do?!'' The judge hissed. Aaron almost gagged and chocked the minute he heard what Zane had to say. That bastard had nothing but lies and excuses to tell. It was any wonder why he was even there? He certainly didn't need Zane to tell the story, Aaron could handle the job on his own.
''He came at me first! I was only defending myself! The gay got defence once he saw me? I have no idea why he striked first.'' Zane replied, his voice deep then getting high the more lies came out of his mouth. The judges went quiet, as the two on either left and right stared at him, persuasively.
''That's bullshit! I didn't even go near him! Zane striked first! Notice how there aren't any scars or scratches on him?! It's because I didn't strike!'' Aaron shouted, unable to control the anger he felt inside. The pressing pain of his cracked, frozen skin, stung a little, as the more anger he felt, the more words came out, which mean't he had to open his mouth which only caused more discomfort with the hole in the protection of his ice skin.
I've had enough from the both of you! Here's what we're going to do....Aaron...you will be punished for this, but I will proceed to go easy on you. You're a good kid, and because your mom and I used to be friends, I will decide to take the sentence out on you, as light as possible.'' The judge whispered. Aaron could tell there was a vast amount of motive behind his words. Everything he said was as shit as Zane.
''You and your....um.....'' The judge paused for a long moment, as he looked to stare at Aaron, then to Alec. Showing discomfort, as he struggled to say the word ''boyfriend'' But finally have a few seconds, was able to get the word out, but Aaron could sense a bit of shakiness, meaning he was still just as homophobic about it, as everyone else in that courtroom.
''You and your boyfriend shall be separated, as of now, you aren't allowed to see, or even be next to one other. And to make sure the agreement stands, Alec? I shall send you to a planet called Earth. Where you will live alongside humans......without your abilities.'' The judge hissed. ''And with no memory of this planet, or your time here! That goes for any memories you have of Mr.Channing.''
As the sound of the big gavel came down and echoed through the entire room. Aaron felt his entire world come crashing down in seconds. He couldn't believe the words he'd just heard had actually been said. The first reaction was to lash out, to kick and scream, to punch the judge across the face, and to do the same to anyone who tried to stop them from being together, but as Alec placed his arm out in front of him, Aaron was shocked. Stunned at what his boyfriend was doing, why he was doing what he was, in order to stop him from causing a scene. He'd hoped the two would be on the same side, but as Aaron met Alec's saddened eyes, he felt Alec's soft hand softly stroking the side of his face that didn't cause him discomfort, and Aaron felt himself starting to melt. Alec's touch was always so gental, Aaron offend found himself always starting to buckle at the knees.
''You aren't going to let this happen? Right!'' Aaron shouted, his eyes staring right into Alecs. Their faces just inches away from each other. Aaron lightly placed his hand on top of Alecs where it was, still on the side of his face, as the strong sudden need to be brave vanished quickly. Aaron couldn't be strong. Not when it mean't, he'd never get to see Alec again. As he turned away from Alec violently, he threw back Alec's arm, that was keeping him back, and was about to lash out. As he countered a ball of freezing white ice in the palm of his hand, pulling back his arm, as he was ready to throw it, as if it was a baseball, he was shocked, his eyes widening, as he fell right to his knees. His back burned from the impact of horribly burning fire, as the large rip of his clothes burned away, revealing his back, as Alec was the first to get to him, shouting at him with painful eyes.
''Aaron! Aaron, can you hear me?!'' he shouted, shaking Aaron's arms, as the cold one was passed out almost instantly. He'd gotten himself to emotional, he'd gotten himself set up for an attack to the back, from the one warm one he hated with so much fury, at the moment he couldn't stop himself from imaging what it'd be like to be a warm one. What it would've been like, had he been able to see Zane on the ground, in the same position as he was now, doubled down in pain, from a ball of fire he was responsible for. The thoughts made Aaron smile, before painful sleep completely overran his consciousness.
In the morning it was brought to his attention that Alec had gone while he was out cold. Sent to the planet called Earth, owned, and lived on by nothing but humans. Capable of no magic. A species dooming its self without the help of any threat. Humans were nothing but disgusting, weak creatures. Aaron knew that before anyone did. The books he'd read as a child certainly came in handy when he was bored. Who've would've guessed he'd be able to learn a thing or too? Or be able to remember it all, as a child back then, to a nineteen-year-old now. Aaron rose from the bed he'd been lying on, slowly, as stress started to take over. He felt tension, which made him run through his white hair with his hands more times than he cared to admit. Fidgeting was his way of calming down in stressful times, but now was more than just one of those stressful times.
His best friend, his boyfriend, the one who he cared for more than anything else, had been sent to Earth without him. And without his memory as well! Hearing that part replay over and over in his mind, only enraged him more. It didn't take too long for him to finally be able to decide what he was going to do...
A certain warm one had it coming. And this time, he wasn't going to play it easy. At that moment, Aaron was done fucking around....
