Eleanore's POV
I lifted my hand to wave at Hayden as he ran up to me. There was a smile on his face as he gave me a hug and pulled me into him.
'Good morning.' He signed to me and my face became warm at the way he looked down at me. I said my morning greeting too and then quickly avoided his eyes as he stared down at me.
Walking down the steps was the easy part, it was continuing the start of the walk to university that morning with Hayden beside me that was difficult to get through.
Hayden and I hadn't spoken much since my almost drowning at the pools earlier in the week. I could tell he had felt guilty at having left me alone for that moment and the events that followed. My own guilt came in the form of having been so attached to him after he had saved me.
