Grace walked back inside and sat down, looking all pale and confused.
"What happened?"
Ancaan asked, but she was lost in thought. Then Raymond walked back inside and turned to her.
"Go put on your shoes, let's go."
This was the moment she had been waiting for since morning, but now she didn't want to go out.
She smiled at him. "I feel sick; is it okay if I just go to sleep?"
"Sick?" He placed his hand on her forehead, and her temperature was normal.
"I will call a doctor."
"No, I just need to sleep. Can I go upstairs now?"
He stared at Ancaan before he nodded. "You can go."
Immediately after she left, he frowned at Ancaan.
"What did you tell her?"
He scratched his head. "Is she upset because I mentioned her mom?" He thought.
"I didn't do anything."
"Let this day be the last time you show up here," he warned, and Ancaan nodded.
After all, he didn't come to upset him. "Then show me your place, or else where will I spend the night? I can't be in a hotel when my brother has a mansion."
Raymond snorted, "Just admit you are broke."
Then he walked out with Ancaan; as soon as their car drove out, a cab drove in, and Steph hurried down and rushed into the mansion.
"Grace, Ancaan"
Krish walked to her. "Miss, Ancaan just left."
"Nooooo," she said, falling down on the cold floor and hitting it angrily.
"Miss Chen is upstairs."
Steph stood up and hurried upstairs. She got into Grace's bedroom and found her by the window.
"How could you let Ancaan go?" She asked angrily. Grace turned and faced her, and that was when she noticed that she had been crying.
"Why are you crying?"
Grace sniffed in and sat on the bed. "I didn't know that they had already left," she added.
When she told them she needed rest, she was expecting him to come to her, but he didn't.
"What's wrong with me?" she hissed
"What happened? How can you be living such a life and be crying?"
"You are a fool," Grace scoffed.
And Steph chuckled. "I was joking. Did the date with Mr. Xu not meet your expectations?"
"We didn't go; he was busy with irreplaceable women."
"Huh?"
Grace cleaned up her tears. "He said he was my boyfriend, so why is it okay for him to sleep with other women? Wait, thats called cheating, right?"
"Of course, cheating husbands should be taught a lesson. How dare he cheat on you?" Steph backed her up.
"So, how do we teach him a lesson?"
"We?" Steph asked, and Grace stared at her in disbelief, then she burst out in laughter.
"I was joking; let's think."
They both sat on the bed and went into deep thought. "Normally, when your boyfriend cheats on you, you break up with him. But that's not the case for you; I mean, you signed a contract."
Grace chuckled. "Even if I didn't sign a contract, there was no way I was breaking up with him."
"That's true; Phina is coming next month. If you break up with him, then where will we get VIP tickets for her concert?"
They both burst out in laughter. "Ken was right; I am a bad influence."
"And I indeed lost my track."
They kept laughing till they couldn't continue. Grace sighed, "I felt bad when I found out he cheated. I know it's a contract relationship, but isn't he supposed to respect me?"
Steph crawled up to her. "Listen, you are a teenager, and we fall in love easily. He is handsome, rich, and nice to you, so it was easy for you to fall in love with him, but what about him? Does he love you back?"
"Yeah, thanks, Steph. Your consolation was great."
"That's not what I mean; he sees a lot of girls every day who are pretty and curvy. All you do is talk; do you cook for him? Do you give him a massage?"
She then went into thinking, "Do you know the saying that if you can't bring the horse to the river, then bring the river to hell?"
"Yes"
"So if you both couldn't go on a date, then create one. Make him love you; that way, your feelings won't go to waste."
Grace sighed "The other day we went for dinner, and there was this lady..."
"She had sharp, piercing eyes that made me feel low; she walked around with confidence; the midnight black gown she wore was just made for her."
"Wow, was she a female CEO?"
"Yoyo, thats her name. I am nothing compared to her, and Mr. Xu didn't even like her, so it means she was way below his league. In twenty years, I will never meet Yoyo's level."
Steph placed a knock on her head. "Ouch."
"Are you crazy? Come, let's go out for a walk."
"You hit my head and asked me out for a walk? Psycho"
They both went downstairs and walked to the entrance, and Mr. Li was there. "Miss Chen, are you going out?"
"Hm, we want to go for a walk."
He pulled the car door open. Grace stared at Steph, who nodded, and they got into the car. "Where should I drop you, girls?" Mr. Li asked, and Steph leaned closer to him.
"Mr. Li, have you known Mr. Xu for long?"
"Yes"
"What type of person is he?"
Grace also got curious, and Mr. Li smiled and kept quiet. He had no nice things to say about his boss, so it was better he stayed quiet than to backmouth him.
"Say something," Steph shook him.
"Well, he is rich."
"I know that, but what type of person is he?"
"Steph, let him be." Grace chimed in; she saw the uneasy look on Mr. Li's face.
"It's a simple question; it wouldn't kill if he answered," she mumbled.
Soon they arrived at the local market and got out of the car. "We will eat at our favorite restaurant."
They both walked through many stalls and finally stopped in front of a small restaurant. "I missed hot pot," Grace smacked her lips.
Immediately after they got into the restaurant, they bumped into someone. Grace's eyes widened in shock, and she took a step backward. Steph clung to her nervously.
"Grace"
"Father," she called in a low and scared tone.
