Capítulo 24: CHAPTER 24
The following morning John was woken up by his cell Phone Ringing. Looking at the screen it was an unknown number. Grumbling he answered it but before he could say anything there was a voice he recognized yelling at him form the other end.
"Where are you?, how can you do this to My Daughter and just leave her like this?, I thought you were a better person than this,"
John finally interrupted " Sorry, What are you talking about?" there was silence on the other end of the line before "What do you mean what am I talking about, Susan is in the Hospital you better get down here now or there will be consequences"
Before he could reply the phone was hung up. John thinking ' what on earth is going on, what trouble is she trying to get me into know' Getting up and having a shower. John got dressed and left the house without having his coffee or breakfast and drove to the Golden Angel Hospital.
Upon arriving to the Hospital he walked in and was greeted by Nurse Betty "Good Morning Sir,Do you need any help this Morning" John smiled at here "Yes what room is Susan Farmer in? Also I could use a coffee if someone could get me one I would appreciate it thank you,"
John continuing " I am not sure what is going on with that women but I may need assistance later just in case" Nurse Betty Nodded " Okay sir not a problem, I will get you a coffee and bring it in for you, she is in that ward room over there,just call if you need anything at all"
John turning to walk towards the Ward Susan was in " Thank you" then he walked over and push open the door. When he entered everyone looked at him he closed the door and stood there with is arms crossed.
Looking at Susan " What do you want?" before she could answer Mrs Farmer raised her voice " What do you mean by that, you know she is Pregnant and because of all the stress she is under she ended up in here"
John glaring at Susan then Back at Mrs Farmer "Firstly I don't know what you are talking about, Secondly It has nothing to do with me at all"
My Farmer Spoke this time " John how can you say that you are her Boyfriend, of course this child has something to do with you, how dare you leave her after finding out, you have to take responsibility"
John looking at Susan " What lies are you spreading now,? I am getting sick and tired of your nonsense"
Taking a deep breath he continued " Start telling the truth or I will and it won't be polite"
The Farmer looking at him" What are you talking about, how can you talk to our daughter like that?"
John having enough of this "What I am talking about is she has nothing to do with me anymore she Cheated"
Susan Tearing up " Mum,Dad he is lying I never did anything wrong, the Baby is his I swear, I didi nothing wrong" Before John could reply the Door of the Ward was pushed open and Nurse Betty walked in.
She had heard some of the conversation so she knew basically what was going on "Sir, here is your coffee" John taking the coffee from her "Thank you Betty" The Farmer's were watching the interaction and thought it was a little odd.
Nurse Betty asked "Sir do you need any help" Motioning towards Susan. Mrs Farmer noticed this " What do you mean by that?" Nurse Betty just shook her head and didn't answer.
John looking up at Susan and Back to Betty " Actually is there a way to determine Paternity this early" Thinking about it for a minute. Picking up Susan's chart and reading it.
" Normally No, But there is a test available but it is really expensive that is why it is not well known it, we can get it done for you in about an hour or so" John Nodded " Good organize for me please" handing over his card " Take what is needed to get this done "
Nurse Betty continued " I will Just need a blood Sample from you Sir we can do it here" Just as she was about to get the equipment she needed Susan spoke " No I don't agree to this test, I have already had all the tests and I don't want the Baby hurt from another invasive unnecessary test"
Seeing through her excuse Nurse Betty " Well that is fine because we can use the specimens we have already taken so there is no need to worry" John smiling at the obvious sarcasm. John's Blood was Drawn and Nurse Betty left to get the test arranged"
Susan sobbing on the Bed with her Parent's try to console her " How can you do this to her look at how upset she is, it is not good for her or the baby"
John Shaking his head "As I said before it is not my problem, the test will prove it and then hopefully she will leave me alone"
Going over to seat in the corner to wait for the results when his Phone rang. John smiled for the first time since he woke up this morning "Morning Sugar Pie"
Bill on the other end Good Morning Hunny Bear, is everything alright you sound a little off" John sighed "Yes just up at the Golden Angel, someone trying to pin her mistake on me" Bill who was just around the corner " What, I am coming I will be there in minute, I not far, everything will be fine"
Hanging up the Phone John sat there with his eyes closed leaning back on the chair. The Farmer's just heard the interaction and looked at Susan "What is going on here,who was he talking to, and why is he saying that your pregnancy has nothing to do with him?"
Susan with tears in her eyes" I don't know why he keeps saying those things," About 10 minutes later the door was pushed open again and Bill walked in Glaring at Susan shaking his head in disgust.
Mr Farmer look at his and asked "Who are you, and what are you doing here" ignoring them entirely he walked over to John. He sat down and held John hand, " I am here know we can deal with the witch together" John smiled " I have arrange a test to be done to prove this has nothing to do with me" motioning over to the Farmer's. " I am just so tired, it has been a rough couple of days now this" Bill pulled John into his arms and just held him like that. The Farmer's were shocked at what they were looking at. Susan said " See he left me for man can you believe he would do this to me"
Bill heard her. glaring at her over John Shoulder "Would you stop spewing your nonsense you witch, you cheated on him and had him beaten up, you know it and we know it, and the sickest part about this whole thing is you did it for what was it again?" John mumbled"A Necklace"
Bill continued "That's right a Necklace, what do you think that makes you?" he then turned his attention back on John. They talked between themselves for awhile until there was a knock on the door and the Hospital Director Walked in.
"Good Morning everyone my name is Mr Waterford I am the Hospital Director here at the Golden Angel" Looking around seeing John and Bill sitting on the chair we walked over "I have the results for you Sir, Betty informed me of the situation so I had them rush the results through for you" Handing the folder to John"Thank you Mr Waterford"
Opening up the folder and reading the results with Bill " We knew that so this is just to shut her up" John nodded and stood up. Mr Waterford just said "There is one more thing Sir, The Farmers applied for the Medical Assistance Program to cover her expenses, Do you want me to approve it?"
John looking at the Farmer's and said "No going by what happened here this morning she is not qualified" Mr Water nodded and left the room to get their bill ready " I will go sort it and bring it back" Once he left John focused back on the Farmer's and hand over the folder. " Here read this"
Taking the folder Mr and Mrs Farmer read the contents of the folder which clearly states John is not the Father of this child.
Turning to Susan "What is the meaning of this you clearly told us this child was his, and he left you and told you to get rid of it" John and Bill Gasp before John replied " What, I would never say anything like that ever, even though that child is not mine I would never wish it harm"
Bill also having enough of this whole situation "Shouldn't you be bothering David with all this Nonsense he is after all your boyfriend" Noticing John shaking his head " Oh yeah that right he was dumped you, because of your Crazy behaviour"
Holding John Hand "Let's go you don't need to be here anymore" Turning to walk out of the ward room. Meeting Mr Waterford walking back in with Nurse Betty.
John saying good bye " Thank you both for your help today, we are going now" Both of them replied " Have a good day My Walker, Mr Jackson" then John and Bill left.
Mr Waterford walked over to the Farmer's and handed them the Bill " This is your invoice you can pay at the Reception desk, Under the circumstances you are not qualified for the Medical assistance program"
The Mr Waterford and Nurse Betty left the room leaving two very angry Parents to deal with how to pay the Bill.
