Capítulo 15: Pains
The male grimaced at the blood that seemed to puddle around the female after he lifted her. He watched the warehouse-like Barnaby told him and he followed anyone who was suspicious only to find he followed Maria. He was told to arrest her, but he couldn't. Not when she looked like this. "Bun is going to get mad, but I don't care."
He lifted her up into his arms and quickly ran to a hospital. He planned to talk to her, without Bunny. He didn't want to scare her or lose the close relationship that they had. He looked around the city, avoiding the looks of the citizens watching him carry a limp body.
Once he got to the hospital, they let him in quickly and helped her since he was in his uniform. Maria was taken away to get quick tests and treatment. This left him there to try and hide the fact he found anything suspicious from his partner.
He paced the waiting room, waiting for anyone to come out and let him see her. He was to blame for this injury and he planned to take care of her until she was better, even if it meant hiding from the rabbit for a few days.
As if he couldn't think about Barnaby, he had to see him. The male walked in, normal outfit and all. He walked up to his uniformed teammate and crossed his arms. "Explain why you're here in that outfit and not watching the warehouse, Kotetsu"
The male flinched to the cold tone of the male and stepped back slightly to force space to be given between them. "You see. I was watching the place, but I felt something was wrong so I wanted to check on Maria and you see I found her. She was on the doorstep, her place looked like it was robbed. She had a gash on her waist from the doorframe"
Barnaby stood there as if he wasn't going to take that as an answer. He stood there to process the story his partner gave, debating on if he should call him out on the lie or if he should just leave it be. He shook his head, sighing. "Fine, but don't let it happen again. We aren't just there just to be there. We are watching the place to see if Twisted appears again so I can arrest her, question her, and throw her into jail before Lunatic finds her and kills her with his stupid Judgment."
Tiger groaned as he stood there. "I know, Bunny. I know. I'll go back to the place after I know Maria is alright."
There was a scream as a female stood up and ran outside. "Speaking of which, look at what the cat dragged in" Barnaby spoke plainly.
"That's not right, Bun. I didn't drag him here" he spoke, not fully getting that Barnaby wasn't blaming him.
"Not you, imbecile" he rolled his eyes at the tiger and watched as the blue flames circled the male. He touched the ground as he stepped into the hospital.
"It seems like you two are here. Not like that's a surprise" he chuckled and turned his attention towards a male in the back corner of the waiting room. A criminal who had killed an innocent child. He walked closer to him, the flames forming more furiously as he pulled a crossbow out and aimed it at him. "Hear the voice of Thanos!"
The arrow hit the male and in the end, the criminal was in flames and Lunatic was gone. The two heroes didn't know what to do since he just appeared there and they didn't know of anything. "That was-"
"Interesting…"
A nurse came out and walked up to Kotetsu. She opened her mouth to speak when there was a loud crashing noise. This made both Barnaby and Kotetsu run into the hospital to find the source of the sound, not knowing that someone had already beaten them there.
