Capítulo 52: The Memory Recollection
Within minutes, Damian Shen left with 700 soldiers accompanied by Willis Shenbi, his army commander and Nico, his guard captain also his private driver.
Alex Lee readying himself to leave with the rest of the army when he saw a familiar figure riding a horse toward him.
After confirming his identity, Alex Lee stuck his head out from the side military truck passenger window and he shouted, "Great-uncle protects the Emperor city..., we will head up to defend the Capital city!". Right after he finished his words, he took off.
David Lee smiled with pride as he watched his prodigy nephew left in great formidable forces, once again, he would mark his name in the history book, under his leadership and strategy, the 300 soldiers left the city to protect their country. Added together, they have taken the same amount of soldiers as the enemy and left behind about 500 soldiers to guard the Emperor city as a failproof plan.
It was a great thing that in the past two years they had built a protection Meteor shield to cover the Emperor city with the Meteor organic crystal stones.
"Should we, the legendary Wolves, followed our Young Master?!!", asked Lone Wolf, who also riding on a horse, he approached David Lee after he finished checking the last alley for any intruders.
"Lone Wolf, you are the president now! Your job is to calm the citizen, whilst your brothers are our academy teachers, we need them to protect the students!"
After the last batch of soldiers entered the last military trucks and left the premises, David Lee activated the shield by pressing a remote control about the size of half his palm that he pulled from his jacket pocket, slowly the meteor shields were coming out from the ground like tree sprouts and all four walls form a rectangular shape and stood up higher than the tallest building, then from each direction, the shield walls was curving and connected like half sphere. The shield would guarantee the safety of the Emperor's city, even from any bomb threat, while the meteor stone pores was able to work as a membrane that let the abundant oxygen to go in and out - which assured the citizen to be able to stay inside the shield with clean air to breathe in - and the sunlight to enter in order to grow the fields. Thus, they could live inside the shield forever.
- Meanwhile, modern country -
Nick Lang's father, Nico Lang didn't join the military boat, after all, besides all of his wealth, he didn't need to know how to do any combat, only how to give an order to his trusty men and let them do the war, while he would be waiting patiently for the good news in his office. Without the permission of the overseas country leaders, he had ordered his men to attack the small wealthy country with secrecy. If the news out, he would get punished, however, the risks worthed the benefits.
All his life, he had been using dirty tricks to flourish his conglomerate empire. He married for money and connection only, hence he felt that his family also just a property that needed to be handled with an iron hand. When his son was running away from home when he was just a youngster, he let him go and cut ties with his futile son, for that reason, he vacated the family house and lived with his secret mistress and his illegitimate son instead.
No one in his family knew this fact.
As a businessman he wasn't a forgiving man, he stayed marry with Joelle Lang just because of her great connections that were still able to help him to flourish his business empire.
This time, he listened to his estranged wife and son suggestion to attack the Emperor country because the powerful man, Marshal Shen, had rejected their business proposal point-blank, thus the only way to claim the abundance resources in their country was by sending his mercenary soldiers along with his trusty men to take over the country reign. Nick Lang had told him of his wife's position in the country and without any doubt, his vain son could rule the country with his help, then he would be the puppet master. He would be the number one conglomerate among the richest countries. He smiled with satisfaction at his greedy thought.
- At the same moment, Capital city -
Marshal Shen guards and servants were fighting with their life to guard the gate against the enemy. A half an hour ago, they had received news of the attack from Marshal Shen, they tried to go out from the city with Marshal Shen family in their protection but on the way out from the Capital city, they found out that the enemy soldiers had already entered the city and blocked it. Unable to leave, they returned to the mansion and protected Marshal Shen family with their life on the line, even though, they knew that they were outnumbered. It had been fifteen minutes since the defended the mansion, however, the electric gate and fences won't protect them any longer.
In the secret room, Sallie Lang was debating what to do with her inner voice.
Marshal Shen had told her that he would be there to protect them in a rush and in case of emergency, he had told her to hide in the secret room under his office with the twin and the elderly couple who can't fight anymore, however, she felt strongly that she had to do something to help Damian Shen men while waiting for his arrival.
Making up her mind, she said with assurance," Ashlee.., Ashton.., both of you will stay hiding here! Mommy will help to fight! Please, don't come out from hiding!" She was looking at the elderly couple and respectfully asked, " Please protect the twin, grandpa, and grandma Shenbi!"
"Don't leave, madam Shen..., if something happens to you, Marshal Shen would never forgive us!!" grandpa Shenbi begged his mistress to give up on the idea, however just like he was begging her not to address him 'grandpa', she didn't listen, and after she hugged her twin, she hugged them and left the secret room. Hurriedly, she reached inside the office drawer that contains a lot of new military clothes with different sizes. She picked the smallest size and while running toward her destination she wore and buttoned the blue military shirt expertly like a habit.
She headed to the ammunition room and grabbed numerous ammunition and sniper gun to place inside a big duffel military bag. Since she was hiding her face and bundled hair bun with a military cap, the servants that were assigned to watch the ammunition room didn't realize her identity, also because they were busy taking as much ammunition and guns to the front line to the guards.
Nobody was trying to stop her when she was climbing the pillar of the mansion to join two other snipers on the roof. Within seconds, she was on the rooftop. The spacious mansion roof was flat only on the center like an upside-down boat, and two sniper guards were ahead of her, they were hiding behind sacks of grain barricade that was curving half-circle surrounding them with the direction facing the mansion gate and they shot from the hole between the barricade. So far, the enemy soldiers didn't realize their existence until twas late.
Without a fuss, she joined next to them...
They paused for a moment to look at her indifferently and continued to concentrate on shooting...
Unexpectedly she shot like an expert and without missing any vital targets, any enemy soldiers that came into her view died instantly. Both snipers next to her were whistling softly with wonder at her expertly aims, but they only thought that she was one of the servants that surprisingly, a serendipitous shooter. They could tell of her gender, and since no female guards within them, they concluded of her servant identity.
"Boom!!"
Suddenly, the gate was flown way in a flash, the enemy soldiers penetrated the mansion like a swarm of bees. She was shooting as fast as she could but they were so many of them, she was yelling in anguish when she saw below her, one by one her guards were down either injured or died.
At the moment of anguish, she saw her male god entering behind the enemy soldiers like a predator and killed anyone on his way. Behind him was the familiar giant that protecting the powerful man by using his big massive body as his shield and Nico that was also expertly shooting with two guns to protect him in each direction. The enemy soldiers were trapped...
Marshal Shen army entering the mansion with heavy ammunition and many of the enemy soldiers were scattered and run for their life when they realized that their enemy had stronger and more powerful forces and they have no way out but running away...
The vision triggered her altered memory, she remembered a different war in her life, and the flashbacks of her life coming forth like a strong current on the river. The great shock to her brain caused her to faint instantly on the ground. Thinking that their comrade had fallen to the enemy gun, both of the snipers was checking on her and was aghast when they found out her identity when one of them was lifting her cap to check for injuries.
"Madam!!", both of them screamed in anguish, thinking that the person that they needed to protect was laying unconsciously possibly wounded by the flying bullets.
"She still alive, let's clear the ground quickly so we can bring her down!", one of them shouted and immediately they went back to their post to shoot at the panicked enemy soldiers - who were wearing black military uniforms - and many were giving up in the fight and ran for their life.
While Willis Shenbi and Nico guarded the mansion front door with heavily armed machine guns, Damian Shen was able to break through inside the mansion and with furrowed brows, he asked one of the servants who was trembling with fear behind the wall, because he was thinking that the enemy had entered the mansion. "Where's my wife and kids?!!" Without any DNA test, he knew without a doubt that the twin belonged to him.
"T-The S-Secret room...", stuttering the servant almost sobbing in joy, he was no longer afraid for his life because the powerful Marshal had arrived to protect them. He followed closely behind him with great relief, however, his master was yelling in anger when he didn't see his beautiful wife inside the secret room, after hugging the twin to calm them down and told them to stay put, the powerful man stormed back to him to asked, " Where is she?!!"
Then he remembered a woman servant that was climbing the outside pillar to the mansion roof, now that his mind was clear, he realized that she was no ordinary servant...
"F-Forgive me, Marshal Shen. T-This lowly servant might have seen her climbing the pillar to the roof..." Without waiting for his explanation, his agile Master climbed the mansion pillar.
Acrobatically, he was swinging up to land perfectly on top of the roof, he was in shock when he saw his beloved wife was laying on the flat spacious roof...
In a flash, he was next to her, holding her unconscious body, checking for any mortal wound without breathing, when he didn't find any, he inhaled and exhaled deeply and to the snipers, he asked with a husky strong voice, "What happened to my wife?!"
In shock that someone was able to get behind them without noise, the snipers paused their shooting and they were more shocked to see the person that had joined them swiftly...
"M-Marshal Shen.., suddenly Madam just fell out of consciousness..., maybe from shock..., she indeed killed a lot of enemy soldiers!", answered one of the snipers with nervousness.
The other sniper added more calmly, " We were clearing the ground to bring her down to safety, we didn't know of her identity until a while ago when she fainted!"
"Alright, go back and clear the ground!", he ordered them with high authority. Without fail, they followed his command.
While behind them, Damian Shen, the most powerful man in the Emperor's country was holding his tears of happiness that his 'one and only love' was not hurt, passionately, he hugged her tightly and was kissing her in frenzied to wake her up.
Venusa Shen was awakened from a long dream with her charm prince kisses. Looking from her half-open eyes, she saw such a good-looking loving face in a close-up, her rightful husband who was kissing her forehead gently with eyes closed for fear that his tears would flow out, not the cunning Nick Lang...
She shivered at the memory of Nick Lang lewd kisses on many occasions, no wonder she dislikes his fake husband wet kisses so much, subconsciously, she had been always suspicious of him and heavily guarded herself against him.
No wonder the twin never loved her fake husband, but calling her true husband 'daddy' upon seeing him.
Smart babies...
Passionately, she reached behind his wavy raven hair and raised up to kiss his taut lips, realizing that Venusa had awake, he opened his teary eyes and softly said, " My wife..., you awake!!"
Without waiting for his explanation, she claimed his tender lips and kissed him with all of her passion, the lessened shooting sound around them was like a fanfare in their ears since they could tell that they were winning, the enemy was defeated. To confirm their thoughts, the snipers stopped shooting and yelled in unison, " We clean out the ground! We defeated the enemy!!"
Seeing that their powerful Marshal was too busy to respond because his mouth was lock in a deep smooch with his beautiful wife, they hurriedly left to give them privacy with a big grin.
