Capítulo 18: Rescue Time
- 2 hours later, deep in the mountain -
The rebel mansion was located deep within the Sunny Mountain, which was the opposite direction from the Emperor city. The mansion was as big as a castle with the tall wall surrounding it and two gated entrances on the east and west directions.
Alex Lee had placed two homemade bombs, in each direction of the mansion way out. However, his homemade bombs were not vicious. It would only send his enemy flying about 2 feet and most definitely they would be unconscious from the impact, but alive.
On the east side entrance, the perimeter within 10 feet was surrounded by Alex Lee, Group B agents, Marshal Lang and his men. But, there were no movements since they were there. It was dead silence.
After 15 minutes, Marshal Lang approached Alex Lee from his hiding place and said, " I would send all the soldiers to pass the perimeter area and go further down more..., I am pretty sure they had escaped..., maybe we could catch them if we go after them now! What do you think, young master?!"
Marshal Lang was trying to be on the good side with Alex Lee, thus he didn't mind to be in a separated mission from Venn Lee, after all, if her son likes him, she might say 'yes' to his proposal.
Alex Lee nodded, " You are right, you may go and we would do the backup plan now, our ammunition could help destroy a city, so we should be okay if this was an enemy trap!"
While the west entrance was surrounded by Venusa, Group A agents, Damian Shen and his men. They were waiting to ambush the Rebels.
But after a long wait, Damian was sending about 100 of his men to enter the mansion, and Group A was going to Alex Lee's side to inform him of what's going on.
They were entering the room one by one, but after 15 minutes of searching for any living being inside the mansion, they found none.
Damian sent all his men to regroup with Alex Lee, and he was looking around for Venn Lee.
He found her in the meeting room. They had searched the room thoroughly. Venusa gestured him to be quiet. She found a suspicious big rock on the wall and she was pressing on the button and the wall was moving to the left side exposing a small secret room.
They were going to search inside the secret room when almost immediately, a clapping sound was heard and the rebel leader was out from his hiding place.
Stop clapping, he chuckled and said, " Great job of finding my secret place, welcome to my family humble mansion, we finally meet eye to eye, Marshal Shen, the Emperor dog, after hiding in the dark cave for so long, we finally here..., but already, you want to flush us out again like toilet water".
Damian Shen gazed at him coldly and said, " You took my daughter as a hostage! I want her back!"
"Or else? Ha...Ha...Ha..., nothing scared me in this world, I am willing to die for justice!"
"What justice? You had killed innocent civilians? You also killed Damian Shen's parents!", remarked Venusa with hostility. Her hand was ready to pull out her gun from her holster belt anytime, this person responsible for her parents dead too.
While Damian gazed at her with surprise, how did she know of his parents' story?
But then as a Golden Wolf agent, it was probably easy for her to find out about this information.
"Remind me.., when was this happen?", the rebel leader smirked with mockery.
"It was fifteen years ago! You bombed the Imperial stage with a time bomb at the Emperor party!"
The manic man started to laugh and cried happily at the same time and while still laughing said, " Ha....Ha...Ha...., Fifteen years ago, I was only a fifteen-year-old boy, hiding overseas, the Emperor cut my face and made me a eunuch when I was ten years old..., the rebels were only founded twelve years ago..., you should ask your Emperor of who was the real killer? The only person who gained everything from all the killing was him after all..."
"How could we trust a rebel word? You defamed the Emperor's name, you deserve to die!", said Damian Shen with anguish and disbelief.
Inwardly, he thought that the rebel leader's reasoning was made sense but all his life he had been the Emperor's right hand, how could it possible that the Emperor would be his and Venusa's parent's killer.
The rebel leader looked at him with contempt and asked," Marshal Shen..., I wanted to challenge you..., for a life or death fight..., just like a real man..., since I couldn't kill the Emperor, at least I could kill the Emperor dog!"
" Marshal Shen..., No..., he might try to pull a trick!"
"I promise..., no trick..., Little woman..., you have your hand on your gun..., how do I dare to play a trick?"
"I accepted your challenge in one condition..., either I win or I lose..., release my daughter and her!", said Damian Shen while pointed his finger at her direction.
"How about the other woman? The mother of your child?"
"She is your own sister, I believe you won't hurt her!"
The rebel leader smiled like a snake and replied, " Alright, it's a deal!"
Immediately, they throw their gun away on the floor and face to face they put their stance on the ground while their gaze locked with animosity.
It was not clear who attacked first, but both of them were crashing into each other with a high kick.
With the constant movement of punching and kicking, Damian Shen was pushing the rebel leader to the corner.
The rebel leader was smiling crazily the whole time, and he was able to block Damian Shen's attack with agility.
Damian Shen moved back to give them a distance since he was suspicious that the rebel leader had another motive to initiate the fight. He had realized that the rebel leader was playing defense and unwilling to fight back.
Damian Shen positioned his posture to attack the rebel leader whenever he would make his move.
However, the rebel leader was just smiling and circling around him like a boxer.
Then, almost immediately Damian Shen saw the secret weapon under the rebel leader sleeves, it was a poisonous arrow, with an evil smile he said, "Goodbye, Marshal Shen!"
The arrow was shot aiming at his heart, but at an instant Venusa was running toward him while screaming 'No', everything seemed like slow-motion, but she reached him on time to save him once again. The impact of her pushing him out of the way send both of them to the ground with Venusa's delicate body lying on top of him. Damian was aghast when he saw that the little poison arrow was lodged in her right arm and just a little push would make it going through her arm.
Damian was in shock and unable to move when he saw her coughing blood and her lips turned blue.
The rebel leader laughed evilly and aimed at Damian Shen once again. His loud piercing cackle had woke Damian Shen from a trance.
Almost instantly, Damian Shen reached for her gun and shoot the rebel leader on his temple right on time before he could fire another poison arrow at him. The rebel leader was smirking in satisfaction when he was falling down like a log and instantly he died with his eyes open.
"Venn Lee..., Wake up..., Don't leave me!!!, I love you!!"
Venusa was unconscious, all his words were gone by the wind.
After a while, he lifted up her body and held her tightly, and almost running, he went out through the East side entrance.
When Alex Lee saw a fast shadow approaching him, he almost detonated his homemade bombs, but then he recognized the running figure that was carrying a lifeless body.....
"Mommmmmmy....."
He ran toward them with teary eyes and worried look. Instantly, he whistled as a sign for agent 003 to bring closer the cart, which was full of medical needs and ammunition.
When Alex Lee reached their side, he placed his finger under her nose and notice that she was barely breathing.
Damian Shen was a wreck and he was sobbing like a little boy. He was a powerful cold Marshal but he was unable to hide his deeply sorrowful expression.
Agent 003 noticed of the dire situation and brought a fancy ceramic bottle with poison antidote inside.
Alex Lee was calming down, the 100 years poison repellant will definitely cure his mother. But he would hide this information from his father because he wanted to punish him for unable to protect his mother.
"Marshal Shen, my mother was unconscious and this liquid could only temporarily suppress her poison, please give it directly to her mouth to mouth".
Without question, Damian Shen gulped the bitter medicine halfway and gently dropped the liquid little by little, while his mouth was covering her mouth in a place like a suction until he finished to feed her every drop of the medicine.
At the same moment, Alex Lee pulled the arrow out completely in a swoosh, he was grateful that the arrow didn't break her bone and since the liquid medicine also acted as an active pain killer, he knew that she wouldn't feel anything. But to be sure, he was applying anesthesia and antibiotic lotion on her wound.
"Placed her inside the cart carefully, Marshal Shen", he ordered deviously and added, " and followed us to my mansion, I need to talk to you privately!"
"Would your mother be alright?", he asked softly after placing her inside the cart.
"We will talk about it when we get to my mansion!
Damian nodded in trance. He was unable to think of anything right now because his heart was in so much pain which felt like he was bleeding slowly and surely to the gate of hell.
