Capítulo 22: Alex Lee Loneliness
After two weeks of recuperation, Venn Lee was up and about from the bed. Damian Shen had been with her every step of the way, surprisingly he had become another person when he was with her. He didn't wear his cold facade as he used to be but only if they were alone. In front of other people, he still acted alluringly and coldly to maintain his dignified position as a powerful Marshal.
Leah Shen could see her dad deep affection toward Venn Lee. On a couple of occasions, her dad had brought her to visit the bedridden Venn Lee. The woman was very plain and was not in the same league as her beautiful and glamorous mother. Her mother was the best candidate as her dad's wife, but this unruly woman had successfully taken him from under her mother's nose. Leah Shen disliked the plain woman and she would fight alongside her mother to get her dad affections. She would still be the number one in his life and she won't share her dad's endearment with anyone else.
Leah Shen was so deep in her thought that she didn't see Alex Lee was standing in front of her.
Face to face he said mockingly, " Why are you here? This is a training ground. Do you want to compete with me?"
Leah Shen accepted his challenge and said, " How about you show me some moves and I would follow it perfectly". With her photographic memory, she would definitely give the arrogant boy a lesson.
" Good..., I'll start and you follow and if you unable to follow...., you lost!"
Alex Lee was using a high spinning kick but he paused his movement with his foot high in the air while fisting his hands to balance himself.
Leah Shen followed his move easily and only when he finally let his foot down that she did the same.
Alex Lee didn't give up but he was frustrated when each of his moves was copied easily and without mistake.
Leah Shen was a talented dancer and she had been dancing since she was three years old. She followed his moves just like a dance move, after all, she didn't need to use strength to kick anyone or she would lose because she wasn't trained to master inner energy to fight. In another word, if she was to kick Alex Lee right now, the impact would probably send her to the ground instead of him.
Unfortunately, Alex Lee didn't know this fact. He thought that she was very skillful in martial arts. But then in a corner of his eyes, he saw his horse was running fast toward her, and she was not aware of the situation. Even though he disliked her, he didn't want her to get hurt, he pulled her to his side to avoid the berserk horse.
In disbelief that she would definitely die horrifyingly if the berserk horse trampling at her, she sobbed hard calling her daddy, but since only the little boy was next to her, she hugged him instead and crying her heart out. Her princess syndrome was on a mode and she didn't care to facade her composure when she was almost dying. Surprisingly, she felt affectionately toward him, like a sister toward her brother. After all, the boy was taping her shoulder gently and whispered "Shush... shush. Shush.." to calm her down.
At the same moment when the incident was about to happen, Agent 003 was running toward the horse to stop him and but he was late by a minute.
Good thing no one was hurt and immediately he was able to catch up and calm the stallion down.
After securing the horse somewhere, Agent 003 came hurriedly to his young master's side and worriedly said, " Young Master, I am sorry for the incident scared the little lady witless."
And looking at Leah Shen, he apologized, " I am sorry, young lady!" He was bending his body toward the ground as far as it could go to show a genuine apology and he added, " The horse had a digestive problem but when we were about to clean it stomach from its bottom, it ran away wildly".
Alex Lee snapped and ordered, " Don't let this happen anymore! Build a horse house and make sure the house is strong and durable!"
Leah Shen had finally stopped sobbing and push herself away from his brotherly hug, after all, they disliked each other and was fighting for the position as a legitimate heir of Marshal Shen. Whoever mothers got to marry him, their child will automatically become his heir. Thus, they were fighting to be the rightful owner of the legitimate position.
After a long while, Damian Shen was running toward Leah Shen after one of the agents informed him of the unscathed but alarming incident.
"Daddy..., I almost died!", She sobbed like an angel.
Damian Shen lifted her up and hugged her tightly to calm her down.
Alex Lee muttered inwardly, ' She didn't even tell our daddy that I save her'. After lending his shoulder for her to cry on, no 'thanks' word from her, also she was using the incident to gain more of their daddy affection.
He looked at them with envy and felt great loneliness seeping deep down within his innermost part because no one had ever console him like the way Marshal Shen was consoling Leah.
When he was hurt in a mission, his granduncle would make him train harder so he won't get hurt anymore in the future. While his mother was too busy with her own missions and training activities. Since he was one-year-old, he was trained to be the best agent and had no chance to be a kid.
Also as the young master of the Golden Wolf, he needed to be cold in nature and mature in characteristic. But, he felt that he was missing something in his life, his heart sank and he left the premise to see his mommy, maybe he would feel better after he saw her.
Unbeknownst to Alex Lee, his mother had seen his hurt expression from a distance. She was drinking tea with Damian Shen when one of the agents rushed out to inform him of the incident. While he hurriedly ran toward the training ground to check on Leah, she was following right behind him, then she saw Alex Lee longing expression.
Her son's father figure was her uncle and he was harsh toward his students with the exception of Maya Lee. Her son wanted his father's love... She would find a way for his son to gain the love of his father. Soon she would to talk to Damian Shen about this issue and like it or not her son deserved his father's love.
"Baby.., Are you okay?", she asked softly, pretending that she couldn't see his lonely expression and ignoring his protest, out from others eyes, - for she wanted to console him just like Damian Shen console Leah -, she lifted him up, hugged him and kissed him on his cheek, while saying, " I am proud of you baby, sometimes it's okay just to be a child of your age! I'm sorry for not around when you need me. From now on, I won't leave you alone anymore! I would ask the leader to give us a mission together, but maybe we should retire and just stay as a family.., with or without your daddy! I love you, baby!"
Hurriedly, before anyone could see them and made him lose his dignity because he was carried like a child, she lifted him down.
Instantly, Alex Lee got his confidence back and with arrogance he replied, " Of course you love me! Who won't someone love a handsome boy like me?!"
Damian Shen came at their side while still carrying Leah and he said, " Let's go! Time for Lunch!"
Both Venusa and Alex Lee beamed with happiness because they felt that they were living as a happy family.
