Luisa felt she should not have left the ballroom, knowing it was still her obligation to serve the Count even if he had encouraged her to have fun. It was not like she was his granddaughter, even though the Count insisted that she reminded him of her.
She was still here to perform a job and not roam around with one of the guests. But admittedly, staying on the dance floor while her boss stared at her was intimidating and awkward. It was slightly making her uncomfortable.
Ok, she would admit, it was doing something to her that she could not understand. It was not like she had not seen a handsome man staring at her before. But walking away from that room allowed her to breathe.
"Is there something wrong?" Cole suddenly asked, probably sensing that she was not ok. They stopped outside the hotel lobby where the event was happening. His eyes gazed at hers while his hands held her by the shoulders.
