"Excuse me, Your Majesty." One of his guards, following behind him, caught up with him to interrupt his jog. "Major Elric is already waiting for you back at the palace." His man informed him, which compelled him to slow down.

He had informed his staff to notify him immediately if the Major had arrived. He had an urgent business with him that could not wait. After last night, he knew he had to act quickly.
