She recalled tenderly, saying how much they used to care about each other, how much she had missed him as if she was truly in love with Spencer.

Nathalia was speechless. If I remember correctly, she's Wendy Allen, the girl Spencer was with when I first met him here, and the necklace was a gesture of Spencer dumping her. She could remember the scene vividly still and thus recognized Wendy straight away.

Why the hell is she acting like this? Like she and Spencer were a real couple. What about Steve then? Poor Steve.
