-Town of Voltin, Present Day, Auric Redfurn-
"I guess you could say… that…" Atlas said, still thinking about what he should say to finish.
"Ya gave me the excuse I needed ta leave?" he said, still somewhat unsure.
"Well, it seems your dad thought so too," I replied.
I still remember how Marx started begging on his hands and knees to me about taking Atlas along. Don't think he needed to do that anyway, instead of Atlas coming with me, it's more of me going with Atlas.
"Yeah, he even started begging!" Atlas said as he let out a small laugh that was then replaced with a smile.
"Oh, you heard that."
"Uh-huh, it was pretty embarrassing."
I still wonder though… why hasn't Marx told his son anything, he's basically left Atlas in the dark, of course that would frustrate him. Maybe Marx is fighting his own battles as well…
I look toward Fraya and notice something, I didn't notice it before but there was something up with her scar. There seemed to be something moving inside of it.
"What the hell?" I say standing up and walking toward her.
"…"
Atlas sat there and stared at me with a confused expression.
As I get closer it becomes clearer… it looked cloudy, yet it also had what seemed to be static coursing through it.
"What's wrong?" Atlas asked me.
"Has the scar always looked this black?" I replied back.
It's giving off a very strange feeling, it reminds me of the aura's I've seen around people, however, it's a lot smaller, it feels as if it's conflicting with something… or someone.
"The hell ya mean black."
I start to lower my pointer finger closer toward the cloudy darkness… soon enough I made contact with it... the room around me disappeared, it was as if I had been surrounded by it's darkness. The only things left were me and Fraya… Atlas was nowhere to be seen.
"Uh, Atlas… you there?" I said looking around.
My attention was then immediately drawn back to Fraya, I noticed my finger was still surrounded by the black cloud coming out of the scar, and when I tried to pull it out I couldn't, I felt a strong force stopping me from moving my hand.
"What the hell is this!" I said loudly.
I started to hear whispers! They weren't coming from Fraya though, they were coming from somewhere around me in the darkness… I felt a chill run all throughout my body… I tried to listen but I couldn't tell what was being said.
My hand still wouldn't budge, so I grabbed it with my free arm and pulled with all my strength… through my grunting and heavy fast breaths I noticed through the cracks of my eyelids that something was wrong with Fraya.
Instead of that blank facial expression she had before, it was now a look of pain, with her right eyebrow and lip twitching at random intervals.
Still pulling with all my might I managed to yank my finger out of the scar, causing me to fall backward and hit my back on the ground… however, it wasn't solid, I kept falling, and it felt like hours had passed within seconds.
…
All of a sudden my head struck the back of a table, sending a sharp pain throughout my skull.
"Ah!" I yelped as I rubbed the spot I hit with my hand whilst standing up from the floor.
"You alright kid?" I heard someone say… it didn't sound like Atlas.
Regaining my bearings I look around, I was still in the hospital room. To my right was Atlas looking at me, with a concerned expression, and in front of me was someone familiar.
"Yeah, I'm fine now."
The voice sounded familiar but the face was not… it was a man who looked old… he looked to be somewhere in his late 50s, maybe even 60s, he had a long shaggy beard and shoulder-length messy hair with bags under his eyes.
"That's good." He said turning back around and staring at Fraya.
Who is this guy? I'm sure I know who he is…
"What were you doing to her?" the man asked me. He sounded very serious.
I looked back at the scar, the black was still there, emanating from the mark.
"It felt like something was in her scar… or someone."
The man looked back at me and managed to give a slight smirk, showing emotion on his dead face.
"You felt the same thing eh."
Same thing?! Does he have an ability similar to me? I only noticed it because of my eye ability, how did he sense it.
"What are ya talkin about Kuga." Atlas chimed in, sounding a bit upset.
So that man is Kuga, Fraya's father and the Knight Commander… I had a feeling it would have been him, I didn't recognize him the other day due to him covering his face. He looks terrible. It must have been even harder on him when she was attacked.
"You haven't noticed it yet Atlas?" Kuga asked.
"Noticed what?" Atlas said, now intrigued.
It seems that not even Atlas was able to pick up on this feeling… I wonder what Kuga knows.
"I spent the first 4 years researching Curse Type Magic, I believed that she had been cursed."
A curse… that makes sense. The feeling I got from whatever it was seemed to give off weird emotions. It felt not just evil but controlling as well, it stopped me from doing anything, and the only thing I had control over was my upper body. I couldn't move my legs at all.
"Why would anyone want ta curse her?" Atlas said with a lost expression.
I can agree with that. From what I know it doesn't seem like Fraya was anything special in terms of her background… unless there was someone who hated her that much, but even so, I would have expected them to target Atlas instead.
"No idea, but it's someone close to us… remember 6 months ago?" Kuga asked, directing the question toward Atlas.
"Yeah of course I do, it was the first time Fraya moved in years," Atlas replied.
So people can still move when they're unconscious? How?
"I believe that was when the curse finally appeared. Ever since then, It's become clearer and clearer, it seems to be growing."
"Growing?" Atlas said concerned.
"It seems someone doesn't want her waking up."
Doesn't want her to wake up?… but why, who would do something like that, what could they possibly gain by doing that?
"Why would someone not want her to wake up?" I chimed in.
Both Atlas and Kuga shifted their attention to me, and both of them stared at me for a few seconds.
"I have no idea…" Kuga said whilst pressing his finger against his chin as if to enter deep thought.
"More importantly… have ya figured out a way ta combat this curse?" Atlas asked Kuga.
He turned toward Atlas.
"Yes actually."
""How!"" Atlas and I both said loudly.
"I believe this is a curse that can be purified… it's corrupt magic, nothing but negative emotion."
"How can ya purify magic?" Atlas asked.
"Multiple different tools exist but, they're incredibly expensive, only nobility have the funds for it…" Kuga replied while letting out a saddened yet stressed sigh.
I don't understand why things like that aren't cheap. If they're expensive, I wonder how many people just died because of it… disgusting.
"What's the cheapest one we can get?" Atlas asked.
Kuga walked over to a chair and sat down, resting his arms on his lap.
"The mayor offered me a deal for one…" Kuga said in a nervous tone.
The mayor? I've never met the person but from what Atlas told me about his son he's probably an asshole, wouldn't be surprised if they get ripped off.
"Not that bastard, what's he up to," Atlas said gritting his teeth and clenching one of his fists.
"…"
No one said anything for a few seconds… It wasn't until Kuga stood up out of the chair that a wave of fear passed through our very souls.
"He wants you Atlas, in exchange for the tool, he wants you."
The room delved into an uneasy silence, Atlas looked down at the ground, but I could tell, tell that his face was filled with fear.
"So… if you turn me in… Fraya will be safe…" Atlas said with a slightly hopeful tone.
"Yes…" Kuga replied.
A few moments passed by… he can't possibly be considering it, why the hell would he just sacrifice himself now.
"There's no other options…" Atlas said.
"No…"
Atlas let out a defeated sigh and walked over to Kuga.
"I'll do it."
Kuga stared at him for a little bit.
"So you're giving up!"
I shouted whilst slamming my fist down on the table next to me… the sound caused both of them to look at me in surprise.
"Have the last 5 years meant nothing to you!"
He trained! From sunrise to sunset, every day, getting better with the bow. Because he wanted revenge, and now he's' standing here in front of me, saying he's going to give it all up.
"Fucking pathetic!"
They both still had a surprised look on their faces, why aren't they taking this seriously, do they really care about her. I know I've just met him, and I don't know who Fraya is but… I'm not letting someone get taken from me again… I have no family, the first person I trusted was arrested because I was weak… and now my first friend is killing himself, it may sound selfish but I don't care.
"Calm down Auric," Atlas said with a depressed voice.
"Ya see, she's reached her limit."
"What…"
Reached her limit, what does he mean by that.
"Her pulse is weakening… and her heartbeat is slowing."
I see… that's why he agreed so easily, he's backed into a corner, and the only choice where she's guaranteed to live requires his sacrifice.
"How much time does she have?" I asked, no anger showing anymore.
"Around 2 weeks," Atlas answered.
"Then we still have time to find another option!" I said desperately.
They both looked at me with saddened eyes.
"We've spent the last 5 years searching for options… this is the only one we've found," Kuga said.
This is such bullshit… no one should have to give their life for someone else's.
"At least tell me this… what tool is being traded for Atlas?"
If I know what it is I might be able to find one before time runs out, whether they help one or not it doesn't matter. You can't make someone care about you and not consider their opinion when it comes to your life.
"It's something that has only ever been created by 2 individuals. It's a flower… an artificial one to be exact."
2 individuals! Artificial flower! No way!
"It's a rose that's blue in colo—
I immediately burst into uncontrollable laughter at the sudden revelation, falling to the ground with my arms wrapped around my body… there's no way, no chance in hell he just said that… through my laughter I glance to Atlas. He looked dumbfounded.
"What the hell's gotten into you," Kuga said, somewhat irritated.
I tried to compose myself so I could tell him the good news.
"Seems like there is another option…" Atlas said through his astonished expression.
"What are you talking about?" Kuga said as he looked at me.
"Auric… has a blue rose…" Atlas said, still astonished.
I stand back up, with a smirk on my face, I look back at the both of them.
"What a load of—
"It's true," I said.
"Matter of fact, I know where hundreds of them are… an entire flower field of them."
Kuga's face changed from a confused expression to a pissed-off expression.
"And why the hell would I believe that nonsense!" he said angrily.
I don't know why he would be angry, isn't this the better option, no one has to die this way.
"Kuga… I trust Auric… it may sound like a pipe dream but I'll take that chance."Atlas said as he placed his hand on Kuga's shoulder.
For the next few seconds Kuga looked back and forth between me, Atlas, and Fraya before grabbing me by the arm.
"We need to talk, Atlas you stay here!"
He dragged me out of the room and into the hallway outside the room closing the door behind him before slamming me into the wall.
"What the hell are you saying! This isn't a joke kid!"
It seems he doesn't trust me… no, this isn't about trust. The second he found a way to save his daughter he jumped on it, whether Atlas lived or died didn't matter to him.
"How do you think Fraya would feel knowing you killed her best friend."
After saying that, Kuga's face filled with rage, causing him to punch me straight in the face, causing me to hit the floor with a loud slap.
"What was that!" I heard Atlas shout.
Kuga locked the door from the outside so Atlas couldn't get out.
"Who do you think you are, you're just some kid who showed up!"
Kuga shouted as he kicked me in the side, causing me to winch in pain. 'Shit this guy's strong, that kick was 10 times worse than the one back on the carriage.'
"And you're just a shitty father that doesn't care about his daughter's feelings."
Yes, I know I'm still a stranger to Atlas, but from how he talked about Fraya I could tell, he cares deeply for her… and the same goes for her.
"Kuga! Why's the door locked!" Atlas shouted once again… I'm surprised no one has heard us.
Kuga crouches down and grabs me by my shirt collar, preparing to throw another punch.
"Do you want her to hate you that much!" I shouted at him, he immediately slowed his hand, stopping it right in front of my face.
"Get a hold of yourself! You know better than anyone… no one would spend 7 years with someone if they didn't care!"
As I said that, Kuga let go of my collar and stood up, he walked over to the window… he started looking at his reflection. All of a sudden he punched himself in the face with so much force that It knocked himself to the ground.
I stood back up, holding my side where I was kicked and with my other hand rubbing my face… Kuga didn't stand back up, he just sat there.
"You might have reopened my wound with that kick," I said, wincing from the pain.
I then heard a loud sigh come from Kuga.
"You're right, sorry…"
There was a moment of silence.
I walked over to Kuga and offered my hand to help him up, he accepted it and I helped pull him up from the ground.
"I shouldn't have said that… I know you care, I just had to snap you out of that desperation." I said as I flinched from the pain again.
"Here let me help you," Kuga said as he pulled out some kind of cloth from one of his belt pouches.
He placed it flat on his hands for a few seconds, it started to glow purple. He then placed it on the spot where he kicked me… a feeling of warmth replaced the pain in an instant, the cloth then disappeared in thin air… I no longer felt any pain that was caused by the kick.
"What was that?" I asked surprised.
"The most basic healing technique, however, it wasn't easy learning it, I spent a whole year mastering it, it only affects blunt attacks though," Kuga Answered.
A whole year!? Just to learn the easiest technique. That's insane, how hard is it to become a medical professional then?
"Are ya two done out there?"
I heard Atlas say from the inside of the room.
"Let's head back inside to discuss this."
I nodded at Kuga after he said that. He then unlocked the door, and we both entered the room again, Kuga closing the door behind me.
"I heard some strange noises out there, and it sounded like you were yelling as well."
Do these rooms have soundproof walls or something, there ain't no way he didn't hear the shouting and crashing noises that we were causing.
"Well, it seems that now there are two options, either we hand Atlas over or we trust Auric to bring us the rose we need," Kuga said.
There's no reason to tell Atlas what happened, all it would do is waste time… but I'm glad he's now trusting me, even if it's only a little bit.
"Then let's go! We can go get it now, all our stuff is back at the Inn we stayed at." Atlas replied. Seems like he doesn't care all too much anyway.
"Do we only need the one?" I asked.
They both looked at me like I was stupid.
"So that wasn't a lie when you said there was more?" Kuga asked.
It's just a flower isn't it, he said they were artificial… that just means someone made a lot of them, are they really that rare to everyone else.
"You're one strange kid, Auric," Kuga said.
I wonder if he still suspects me from that poster earlier…
"Well let's put that aside and formulate a plan," Kuga said once again, this time however, he moved everything off of the table in the room and pulled out a long piece of parchment. Placing it on the now empty table unrolling it.
"What's that?" I asked confused.
"It's a map of the most southern Dukedom… how do you not know that," Kuga said quite surprised.
Dukedom? What the hell is that… I must have had a confused expression because Atlas started to explain it to me.
"Dukes are nobles that serve directly under the King, and they are also responsible for the territory they rule over… there are four Dukedoms in this empire, the one we're in now, however, is the largest of all of them. That's because this family used to be part of the royal family."
I see… so even though there's the King, these Dukedoms are in charge of the land. I still don't quite get it but we have more important issues to discuss right now, I can ask Atlas for a more in-depth explanation later.
"Anyway Auric, where are these Blue Roses you speak of," Kuga said as he signaled toward the map. I walked over and examined it.
The map had a multitude of different things… all of it was way too confusing for me, however, the things I recognized were places I've already heard of.
First, there was the town of Voltin, where we are right now. The place called Volcron was located across a massive lake to the left of where we were right now. And of course. There was Betwin, the town I arrived at with Laloo around a week ago. Looking at the terrain around Betwin I could roughly guess where Movia was.
""That's in the middle of nowhere!"" they both said in shock.
I pointed to a spot slightly above Betwin that seemed to be located in a valley of some sort.
"I've never seen a map so this is just a rough estimate… I'll know where to go once we reach Betwin though."
They continued to have a surprised expression… probably because I just admitted to never seeing a map before.
"Well, It seems trusting you is the best course of action right now," Kuga said with a sigh as he pulled out something that looked very similar to the many devices Marx had in his store… I think they were called pens or something?
"Alright listen up you two! We're here!" Kuga shouted, catching mine and Atlas' full attention… he was tapping the pen on Voltin.
"I'm drawing you a route, you must follow this exactly! Exactly!" He yelled sternly.
I then watched as Kuga began drawing what looked to be a line. It started from the town and led us to an entrance in the opposite direction from the other one. It seemed to be taking us all the way up the mountain and down the other side."
"You won't be able to leave normally, therefore, I'm showing you that there's a secret tunnel out right around here."
Kuga then circled an area on the outskirts of the town.
"Wait but that's!" Atlas said in surprise.
"Did you know about this?" Kuga asked.
"Kind of… didn't know ya could leave the town from there though."
"I see… well anyway, once you get there take this path."
I then watched as he drew a line that followed the side of a cliff until we entered what looked to be a flat area at the bottom, with what I thought was large amounts of water.
"Be careful once you reach the bottom as that's where you enter the wetlands."
What are wetlands?
"You know this place right Atlas?"
I now saw a circle in a random spot, it looked like it was just under halfway between Voltin and a place called Clith.
"Yeah, that's where Grandpa lives."
Oh, I remember his Grandpa, I met him on the carriage when I left Betwin… his name was Felk if I remember correctly.
"Consider this the first checkpoint. From there, Felk will help you reach Clith."
Looking at the map it seemed like we were going away from Betwin, so why don't we just take a carriage back to Betwin instead?
"From Clith you'll have to form a group with at least six people, you two included. Then rent some horses and make the trip from there to Betwin… I'm sure Auric can lead the way from there."
Where are we going to find four other people?… eh, that's something to figure out once we get there.
"Wait hold on! Why can't we just take a carriage from here straight ta Betwin?!" Atlas asked
Kuga stood up straight as he was leaning down before while drawing on the map.
"It's because of him." Kuga pointed at me.
They must have finally found out who I am and where I am, didn't do a very good job at hiding did I… sorry Laloo.
"So I guess it was him then… didn't act like a wanted person though, the only thing he tried was dyeing his hair," Atlas said somewhat mockingly.
Give me a break, I didn't even know there was an outside world until just recently, I don't know anything that's going on.
"And it isn't safe for you either Atlas," Kuga added.
"Why? Because I showed myself in public?" Atlas asked.
"That's correct, I run this town's security but I can't keep everyone away from you."
That's right, the townspeople kicked him out 5 years ago, no wonder they'll start getting riled up now.
"You understand," Kuga asked the both of us.
""We understand""
"Make your way to Felk, he'll have all the supplies you'll need, but for now take this."
Kuga then chucked a large bag at Atlas who caught it… where did that even come from.
"Before we go, how many roses did we need?" I asked again.
He never actually answered that question and I also bought one with me, so it would be better if I was able to use that one.
"Just one, but it needs to be in perfect condition," Kuga answered.
That answers the question then…
It was at that moment when I heard a loud donging sound, I had never heard anything like it before. While I was looking around for the cause Kuga spoke.
"Seems like it's time for you boys to go… it's 6 in the morning right now." He said as he looked at something on his wrist.
Atlas then made his way back to the window, opening it and stepping out onto the ladder, carrying the bag with him… he glanced back over at Fraya's unconscious self, still a cloudy blackness protruding from her scar.
"I'll keep a lookout outside," Atlas said before climbing down.
It was now just Kuga and I in the room, there seemed to be a bit of tension… I go to leave.
"You're not going to ask for anything?"
"Huh?"
What does he mean?
"Why would you go so far?"
I turn around to face him, I look him In the eyes.
"Atlas is my friend."
I see a slight smile appear on his face, and he shifted his view to Fraya. I step out of the window onto the ladder.
"That so… well… in return for the rose I'll give you information."
While climbing down the ladder I catch him looking at me once again, this time, however, his face was serious.
"Whether it's about that ability of yours… or maybe…"
He had now walked over to the window.
"Your father—
Right as he finished saying that he shut the window, I heard a click sound right after… did he lock it?
After I reached the bottom Atlas proceeded to hide the ladder back where he originally got it from.
"You good? Ya, look like a ghost."
So not only did he know about my eye but also… my father. Now that I remember, Marx said something as well, it was after he saw my last name… do they know my identity now!
"We need to go now!"
Ignoring what Atlas said I quickly hurry back over the wall we climbed over and arrived back in the Alley, Atlas right behind me. Reaching the streets I peak around the corner… there was no one in sight.
"You remember the way Atlas?"
He nodded his head before breaking out into a sprint down the street… bag over his back. I followed slightly behind him, every time we reached a corner we'll peek the corner, if no one was there we'll sprint to the next.
…
"Stop!" Atlas said loudly but still in a whisper.
We had been running for a while, I also recognized the next street, the Inn was right around the corner, but why did he stop me.
"Ugh! This is such bullshit! I didn't become a royal knight just to hunt down a 15-year-old!" the mysterious voice groaned… it seemed that was directed at another person.
"I still wonder how you passed the exam… you do know the dangers of that ability he has right?" another voice said, this time a bit tired.
Right now, Atlas and I had our backs against the wall, neither of us were peeking… we were just listening. I do know however, that they are talking about me.
"Course I know the dangers! But come on man, he's 15! What's he gonna do."
I felt my body tense up, I started gritting my teeth.
"Alright Auric listen up," Atlas said to me in a whisper.
I immediately snapped back to the moment.
"I'm going ta cause a distraction, on my signal we both make a break for the Inn, ya got that?"
I nodded. He then crouched down and picked up three loose rocks from the ground, he moved slightly around the corner putting all three rocks in his right hand, he took his left arm, and pointed it straight out, leaning his head on that arm while closing his right eye. He took a deep breath…
""What was that?!""
There wasn't one but three different consecutive loud sounds. I had watched Atlas throw the three rocks at the window of a building, causing it to shatter, alerting the two strangers to the sound, they both ran in the direction of the shatter.
"Now!…" Atlas said in a whisper once again.
Instead of sprinting, this time we both quietly but quickly crouched our way to the Inn, as we reached the door, however, It felt like something was off.
"Shit!…" Atlas said under his breath.
I watched as he then dug through his pockets until he pulled out a strange metal tool. He inserted it into the lock of the door and began moving it.
While he was doing that I looked around, I saw those two people in the distance, they were crouched down in front of the shattered window. They were wearing clothes I had never seen before. The feeling I got was of something flashy, classy, serious, and important… they were incredibly well-dressed.
"Must have been weak glass or something, let's keep searching."
They both stood up and started turning back around, as I was about to warn Atlas I heard a click. The door then opened, we hurried inside and closed it behind us.
"Seems there's nobody here," Atlas said.
We both look at each other in silence…
""What room was I again?""
The both of us chuckled after asking the same thing…
"Wait don't we still have the keys on us?"
We both then began searching through our pockets… I found mine and pulled it out.
"Room 05."
"And I'm room 08."
So I was in room 05 and Atlas was in room 08. Luckily we kept the keys on us, I'm surprised I didn't drop it somewhere.
"Alright let's meet back here in 5 minutes," Atlas said as he walked down the hallway, entering his room.
I did the same. Entering the room I noticed my stuff was still in the same spot… the pouch of coins Laloo had given me, the note from my home, the poster of me… and of course, the Blue Rose, however, it looked worst than before. I could faintly feel it, it wasn't as strong like before. I pick it up and stare at it.
"…"
Nothing happened, I was kind of expecting it to talk. Putting everything back into my pockets I make my way over to the mirror and pull back the hair covering my right eye.
"Still Grey huh."
Instead of being entirely grey however, this time my pupil was back at least.
"I really need to figure this thing out."
I then exit the room, locking it behind me. I walk to the desk and place the key on it, I then heard Atlas exit his room, carrying his bow with him. And not only was he carrying the bag Kuga gave him, but the one he had before our fights.
"Here let me take one of those."
"Yeah you better, I'm about ta collapse."
As he was passing me the one Kuga gave us I suddenly remembered something.
"Wait, what do we do about the test?" I asked him.
He looked at me.
"We can always finish it another time… consider it as being on hold."
Yeah okay, that makes sense. But even still, I wonder how far we can go until we need to show ID.
"Well let's get moving already," Atlas says as he pushes the door open slowly.
Looking outside he signals to me that it's safe, I follow him back outside, it was still pitch black, seems that the sun hasn't risen yet… for the next 30 or so minutes Atlas and I make it to a sharp incline of the mountain.
"On the dong?" he asked me.
"What?"
Just as I said that I heard the same sound that was back at the hospital, looking toward the noise I saw something moving in the distance, it was located in a tower, from this distance it looked like a half-oval shape… it was swaying side to side.
"Hah."
I turn back to Atlas, noticing he took a deep breath. He bent his knees slightly.
"What do ya mean what?"
As he said that he broke out in a sprint up the mountain…
"Ohhhhh!"
He wanted to race, this must be the spot where he would race Fraya…
"you may have got a head start, but I won't give up that easily" I whispered to myself.
I then broke out into a sprint as well. The entire time I was slowly gaining on him, and as I got closer to the top I could see light… it seemed that the sun was rising.
…
"Haaa… haaa."
As I reached the top and came to a stop I was gasping for air. I haven't run that much in my life, it felt like it went forever.
"So this is what winning feels like," Atlas said with a smirk.
"Well, you kind of cheated with that head start."
"Sometimes ya gotta play unfairly ta win."
Ah well, I guess I'll let him have this one.
Standing up straight I felt a cool breeze, the sun's rays were shining down onto the town, it was a pretty sight. Looking at it from here you would think of it as a kind and welcoming place… but, that's far from it. Looking back at Atlas he was gazing down at the town himself. His face expressionless. The wind was blowing the hair covering his scar... I finally got a good look at it.
"You know, that scar is pretty cool."
After saying that he snapped out of his daze and began walking in the other direction.
"Shut up."
I then followed him toward what I believe is the entrance to the secret hideout he and Fraya had, as we got close though. He stopped. We stood there for a few seconds, only the sound of the morning breeze could be heard.
"Sorry for dragging ya in ta this."
He seemed upset.
"Ow!"
I walked up and hit him on the back of his head, it wasn't a hard hit of course.
"Thank me instead."
I was now standing next to him. He began rubbing the spot where I smacked him
"You're a weird one ya know that."
"Well, I guess that makes two of us."
We both made our way into the dark tunnel, cutting off our sunlight, it was then I let out a loud yawn.
"No time for sleeping, Auric!"
"You trying to kill us Atlas."
Writings been a bit slow, probably due to my organisation skills. I’m nearing the end of the first volume so once I reach that I’ll get all that in check.
But for now enjoy the coming chapters. The next lot are gonna be jam packed.
