She opened her eyes and looked around. At first, she was unfamiliar and then remembered where she was. Immediately she straightened herself and called out Paul's name.
Paul appeared, still holding the baby. He approached Ivy while giving the baby to her.
"You are awake," said Paul.
"Why did not you wake me? Theodoric must be worried about me," Ivy asked.
"As long as he knows you are here, there is no problem, Ivy. But if you want to come back soon, go then. I have already returned my son to you," Paul said.
Ivy swallowed. It was only then that she realized that Paul had not called their baby's name.
"You do not want to say his name?" Ivy asked.
"I have my own name for him. It is up to you what you think of me. I am the father and I have the right to name him."
No longer wanting to argue with him, Ivy fell silent. She stood slowly without Paul helping her even though she looked troubled.
