Capítulo 12: WELCOME TO THE TEAM TETSUO
The sound of basketball shoes rubbing on court echoes throughout the whole gym after school. The team was training in a three player drill which requires stamina and quick passes. Yukio started with the ball from the middle, he passes it to Takahiro and then he ran behind him taking his place.
Takahiro who is now in the middle passes the basketball to Hayato and then he ran behind him as quickly as possible to get to the other half of the court. After Hayato receives the ball it was immediately passed to Yukio and Yukio immediately swung the ball to Takahiro who then scores a layup completing the drill.
You're surprisingly keeping up with us Nakajima , not bad said Takahiro as he wiped his face with his shirt. And even after sustaining a severe injury, how is your leg right now? Asked Yukio. It's good, feels like it wasn't even broken to begin with, I'm fully healed up and ready said Hayato.
Oh I see , well then at least you'll survive Nanaho's harsh training regiments said Takahiro. Alright guys let's run that drill again, but this time Hayato will be scoring said Yukio, both Takahiro and Hayato agreed.
That's the spirit guys keep it up!! Shouted Nanaho.
In a corner of the gym Shino was tasked with learning how to dribble a basketball. Fukazawa-senpai am I dribbling the ball right? Asked Shino as he dribbles the ball.
Not bad, but your form is a little crooked and slightly weird, however it will improve overtime if you keep at it said Nanaho as she gave Shino a thumbs up. I see thank so much said Shino as he got fired up for training. Here let me help, just straighten your back like this, keep your off hand up .

I can't take this anymore!!! Why should a naturally talented athlete as my self be placed in a corner doing dribbling drills with this amateur said Noboru . Amateur!!? Is he talking about me? Shino asked himself.
Haven't we been over this yesterday, I've already explained that you need the basic fundamentals of basketball in order to become effective on the court, which you lack said Nanaho logically. My dribbling is actually decent, so there's no need to work on it look said Noboru as he tries to dribble the basketball through his legs but ended up fumbling it.

So you're the first year who wanted to be our manager this season, nice to meet you, I'm Yukio Hamaguchi and you are? Asked Yukio as he smiled.
Nanaho Fukazawa is my name. I see , what a nice name , it suits you, well lets do our best Fukazawa . No, we will definitely make it this time around now that he has help said Nanaho to herself.
Hey Tetsuo it been a couple of days haven't it? Said Hayato. Tetsuo looked at Hayato confused. You and your class did well against us in the mini tournament, I look forward to playing along side you. I'm sorry but who are you? Asked Tetsuo. Huh! So you already forgot about me , oh well said Hayato disappointed.
Tetsuo puts on his training gears and tied his shoe laces and stood up to test out his new shoes. It fits perfectly, my sister sure knows a lot about shoes Tetsuo said to himself.
Big brother, your feet are quite huge that the store owner barely has any shoes that will fit said Usagi. My feet aren't really that big for my height. Well I wear size six and a half so compared to mine they are quite big. Well , I guess that's true. Wait this one looks perfect doesn't it big brother, with a nice green and black colour combo, try it on.
That pair of shoes is quite durable and very flexible for athletes such as yourself young man, so what do you say? Will you purchase this shoe? Asked the shoe store owner. Yes, I'll take them. Great it's good to spend the money you earn on yourself every once in a while.

Tetsuo took up a basketball, dribbles it and then shoots a three pointer which swishes . No matter how many times I see it I just can't believe how perfect your form is , the sound of the basketball hitting the net just has this authentic tune to it said Yukio after he whistled.
Yes you're right, not even my shot makes those sounds said Hayato. Tetsuo is truly amazing, he was able to score that shot so effortlessly. I will focus and train harder so that I can be of use for this team. I will not loose to him I will be better!! Shino said to himself as he stated concentrating on his dribbling even more.
Oh hell yeah, we'll definitely be a greater team now that he's here said Noboru all siked up. Alright everyone let's get back to training said Yukio as they all resumed training.
