Capítulo 169: Synthetic Bloodline

Glancing between the Gate of Water and Fire, Aurelia didn't hesitate for a moment as she placed her palm over the Gate of water. In response to one of her sword techniques, 'Chasing Daybreak - Rain' that uses the concept of water. Aurelia had used this technique for years, becoming one of her favorites due to its ability to linger in the air, trap enemies and act as a defense and offense.

Wishing to grasp more on the concept of water, Aurelia did not hesitate to choose the Gate of Water.

A bright blinding light filled the dark skies alerting men and women who were nearby alongside various professors watching with a curious look. To say they were shocked by her battle prowess was an understatement, as she soloed the guardian Centar and only received superficial injuries.

Even Zariel, who seemed to be watching alongside the various professors, carried a smile. While he wasn't surprised by this, he did feel a sliver of pride slip into his heart, watching the young lass teleport into a world of water and ice.

Aurelia fell from the skies and panicked as she looked down at the icy water covered in snow. Unsure what to do, she braced herself for the fall, as there was nothing to leverage herself. She fell through the ice into the sub-zero water and screamed as a blazing cold penetrated her pores and eyes. Panic filled her Soul, and without hesitation, she enhanced her body with Arcana and pierced through the water with a flap of her arms and legs.

Aurelia's teeth rattled against each other while her limbs could not help but shudder uncontrollably as she landed on the snowy field. "It's COLD!!!!!!" She cried, rubbing her arms in hopes of warming herself up.

From the outside of the Tower of Souls, inside a midsize secluded room, Zalvin Cremlor stood alongside the professor with a curious expression as he turned to Zariel, "Mr. Blackwater, can you explain how that girl is alive? That lake is called the Frozen Abyss. It's so cold that only Demonic Beast dares to drink from that lake. Any humanoid I know will surely die."

Zariel glanced at the Lion's Pride, "She's just that strong; surely there are people here who know someone with superior bodies. Aurelia is one of such children."

"She was in the crowd earlier, and I felt nothing from her, so that can't possibly be it," Zalvin argued while folding his arm over one another. " She's definitely alert like most fourth years, with the same battle prowess, but to claim her body is different would be a lie."

"And what exactly are you trying to say?" Zariel asked.

"You tell me. There have been rumors as of late."

A few eyes flickered over to the duo, drawing even the dean's attention. Who had not bothered to defend Aurelia nor Zariel.

"Rumors, you say?" The silver devil repeated calmly. He looked at the Lion with his magnificent mane of gold and chuckled.

"Indeed rumors I felt no bloodline suppression form that girl, so—"

"You carry the bloodline of what? A little feral lion? And you wish to compare it to Aurelia Morningstar?" Zariel said, cutting in with a cynical smile, " It seems like you're alluding to something, and I don't really have the patience to peer deeper in, so why not just come out and say it."

A vein appeared over Zalvin's temple as his fingers grew clenched, " Feral lion?"

"Easy, Sir Cremlor," Vanessa said, a third-year Arcane instructor. She had long blue hair with violet eyes that seemed to dim with worry.

"What would you call it? Even my blood which is ninety percent synthetic, is better than yours," he said, recalling the Blood of House Lazarus that he forcefully removed during his time in Hell.

Zariel could still recall his Soul's pain that day, having been torn apart. High-level bloodlines could exist in two parts: The body and the Soul.

The day the Silver devil was struck down by the Sovereign of the Heavens. Zariel's physical body was destroyed, but his Soul contained two bloodlines, one from his mother and the other from his father.

By the time he managed to recreate his physical body, his mother's Forsaken Bloodline had begun to deteriorate rapidly, forcing Zariel to create a synthetic bloodline, which was weaker than most humans on Iluthath but far stronger than those on Alos.

Anger flared to life within the Lion's Pride, but he held his tongue, revealing only a strained smile, "Did you give Aurelia any Arcane Artifacts? For example, that sword?"

Zariels brow arched, " The sword is called Morningstar, and it's a bloodline Artifact her father gave her. But if you wish to steal it from her, do go ahead; I hear it has quite a nasty backlash to those whose eyes are longer than their arm."

"Is that a threat," Zalvin uttered.

"A threat defines; I see you as a potential enemy. A horse's ass would be more of a challenge to me than you." Zariel said curtly.

"Sir Blackwater!" Vanessa snapped, slapping her hand over her desk; she glared, " you will not offend a fellow professor."

"He's offending me with his existence, so why can't I?"

"You!"

"Me what? Fuck off; if you got beef with Aurelia, take it up with her. Don't come at me like I did something. But I warn you, that girl will kill you if you attack her."

A slew of laughter resounded from the various professors watching, but Zariel didn't bother to argue, nor did Elyimi, who had felt the brunt of her soul attack a few months ago.

Elyimi knew that cultivation didn't matter when someone had an almost unblockable technique. Death was assured without proper defense or artifacts. Nevertheless, she didn't speak up, knowing Aurelia could care for herself. Not to mention she could feel the dreadful force within that golden sword ever since Aurelia stepped into the Tower of Souls.

A desolate aura filled the conference room as a feral bloodline began to leak from Zalvin, bringing a cold sweat to almost everyone in the room, especially those with weaker bloodlines.

Zariels eyes slowly turned cold, matching the eerieness of the Grim Reaper, completely erasing Zalvins aura as a hellish amount of Killing intent began to turn the ground to ice, withering the very wood around him.

"Challenge me. I dare you."
