Capítulo 275: I Don't Want To Tie You To Me Anymore

"Let's get a divorce."

Even though her voice was small, the words thundered into Kyoya's mind. His entire body instantly froze. Kyoya stared at Shouko with pure disbelief in his dark eyes.

"...What? What did you say?" Kyoya couldn't move even if he wanted to. His wife's words shocked his entire core. 

Shouko repeated as if she wasn't affected by Kyoya's horrified expression.

"Let's divorce."

The same words once again slashed through Kyoya's mind. He pursed his lips tight, afraid he would just start shouting in anger driven by surprise. The whites in his eyes reddened as veins began to bulge on his forehead. Kyoya didn't realize he had crumpled the envelope as he tightly clenched his fists.

"...Why?"

When he finally could speak, what came was not laced in fury yet, his voice sounded so much in confusion and despair. It was quiet yet the weight it carried crossed Shouko's closely guarded heart.
